How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Have no idea what just happened

Spun out in my K6 Blazer, literally did a full circle when I hit black ice. No, did not hit anything (im okay), though i did pull at the wheel hard.

The 6.2 shut off though my radio and power was on, I turned the key and it started normally, went about my drive.

Not even 10 minutes later and the dashboard lights including my radio shut off, though the guages themselves work (Thank God), only the items that are illuminated in the photo is what currently has light.

What the frick happened?? What can I do?? Its running fine currently, guagrs work just no light.

I am genuinely so upset this happened, got two squarebody bros in Minneapolis, gonna peep it tomorrow, cant believe this happened (guage lights are still off, guages itself still work though)

Have you checked the switch that dims the interior lights to see if the lights are turned down?

Its still like that today, literally everything works minus the radio and guage lights, the damn dome light even works.

The rear window is acting weaker than normal though, it goes down easy, but it refuses to come back up on its own power (or lack off) the motor, seals, tracks, etc has been replaces this summer (LMC Truck).

Its all so tiresome

It was the damn tail light fuse that causes all this, its fixed now

Im with my other 6.2 pal, we're just crusin around in his suburban 6.2.

He states 10w30 for winter oil, not 5w40, something about it being the correct GM MX one
It seemed to me from my past years in the square body trucks I had that it could be the possibility of two fuses.
I could remember that there is a gauge lamp fuse but I could not remember which fuse the other one was.
Yup, tail lamp fuse.

something is drawing too much on that circuit. check your tail light bulbs. could be the socket contacts and the little nubs on the bulbs. simple fix is to replace the bulbs. that or it's getting moisture in the socket and if it has been snowing where you got salt up in there too, that will carry current to the ground and short out.
