HOLSET HX40W, non-gated HX40 & Super HX40?

Lovin that "flat black, i dont give a f---." Look
The sealing along bonnet opening is clipped on/ glued to inside fold?

Yea, "the I don't give a F--- look" was exactly what I wanted so I did the paint when the Burb was about 3 years old as I had tired of the graphite metallic paint getting dogged every time I left the pavement so figured do it this was and don't look back.

The gaskets clip on they are the same as the door gaskets

Talked to rep at Heath's yesterday going to update the MAXI TQ tune I have to the BIG HX40W specs that Mike from Missouri had done and is so happy with.

Nice! I was thinking of doing the same thing so I can't wait to hear your results!

I can report a 200 deg f drop in EGT @ WOT going from the S&B reverse trumpet runner to the larger 4" airbox to compressor runner.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected that much of a drop just from intake tubing!! I've been thinking that my EGTs were higher than they should be so I wonder if it's related to mine trying to suck through the craptastic MAF meter? Just another reason for the new tune....

I suspect you can get a larger diameter MAF meter or take the guts out of what you have and install in larger diameter tube. HX40w requires a 4" runner from filter to compressor otherwise it can't do what it was designed to do "pump lots of air!"

I believe it, on my Caravan, had a 3" intake system that went to a 4" adapter at the turbo, GT35R. On a hunch, I changed it out to a true 4" system, I leaned out really badly all over the map, had to adjust my fueling at least 20%.

Yea, the difference can be an eye opener for those running the big CKO Super HX40w, the reverse taper of the S&B air filter to turbo inlet tube actually choked the HX40w which needs minimum 4" from filter to compressor. This turbo also requires a 4" downpipe for best overall performance I'm using Race Day mechanics kit it's great but 4" down is what this turbo is going to get.

Getting by w/3" downpipe because it capable of flowing 850 cfm+- under good amount of boost @ WOT minus any restriction the turns are restriction. I haven't got to the 4"+ cobra head downpipe yet but expect some more gains @ WOT after its done and fueling is tweaked.
