First off I want to say I'm new to this site, So hello Everyone.
Reason I'm here is I just picked up a 1994 Chevy K2500 4x4 Suburban over the weekend. With the 6.5 Turbo Diesel Engine in it. I know nothing about the history on this S.U.V other then I was told it started smoking really bad and the guy parked it...That's another story and Topic for later.
My problem lays in getting it started first off...The last owner had reworked the wiring to say the least for a *high end* stereo system. Replaced the Alt. and new batteries for the system. Well he took all that off and left it with out any batteries or an alt on it.
I need to know how to run the battery cables for the dual batteries. The last guy had replaced all the battery cables with aftermarket cables for the stereo. And it's just a freaking mess. To say the least it's all over kill and I'm wanting to do away with the 6 Ground cables for the batteries this guy had put on there.
SOMEONE PLS tell me the correct way to run cables for Dual Batteries and to the starter,Ground cables and such. I tried to hook it up the way it was I got nothing..No power or anything. I just want to take it all off and start over before I burn it down doing it the last owner had it ran.
Thanx in Advance!!
Zach
