iirc the lifters are the same design as a normal SBC engine. they will continually rotate in the hole at the engine runs.

Technically it doesn't matter, I locate the hole towards the rear, the oil flow comes from the rear. And our lifters don't rotate.Does it matter which way the oil port on the lifter faces? Mine were all different.
Machine shop said about 4 weeks turnaround for the block and crank.
