Looking on RockAuto for the Hayden Severe Duty Fan Clutch, 4 bolt fan, spin on hub to water pump. Anyone have a part # for this?

2839 IIRC. Just look it up for a 98. IIRC Kennedy has the part# on his website as well. I just got the Kennedy 4 bolt clutch and so far love it.

Correct, it's thread on or spin on. I checked and the Part # for '02 Dmax is 2843, but not sure that is the severe duty?

D o a search in hte 6.5 forum for "fan clutch" and find a thread called best fan clutch or something like that/ Jim posted the Hayen catalog. You can look it up with all specs. In fact Jim if you read this, that catalog should be a sticky maybe ? It comes in handy.

Thanks Kenny. It's Pat # 2843 used on the Dmax and listed in the Hayden Catalog as Severe Duty, Reverse Rotation (Counter Clockwise when looking from front of radiator).

Might want to look at Hayden 2886. It's the truck duty fan clutch for the thread on water pump. It's for a Duramax Kodiak but will fit our trucks. Its Hayden's heaviest duty fan clutch.
I run one on our Suburban

Not knowing what clutch I have on there right now, I just ordered the fan. I'll see what happens and I can order the clutch later. Not like I'm having heating problems. On the toughest tows with 6000' of elevation gain and a crate of flagstone in the trailer, I hit a tick over 210. On flat level highway I'm at 187.5 to 190. I just know that after putting the Heath fan kit on Colbythekid's '95, the woosh of air it blows is amazing and definitely helped that engine. I want the best for my baby.

Does the "truck drive fan clutch" come as a bolt on application also.....Or just spin/thread on?

I wonder if that's the one Heath sells?

The truck fan clutch for the Kodiak matches the description in the article I read from Heath, but I cannot say if its the same one. When I contacted Hayden, they told me it had the exact same temp ratings as the 6.5 fan clutch. It's just bigger, more surface area, according to Hayden about double the surface areas of the Severe Duty clutch.
