mine came with the Heath 4" complete kit installed. W/muffler. You hear it's not stock, nice low rumble,,,but isn't loud at all at cruise'n speeds.
And with my K-47 air cleaner, I can hear the turbo whistle, with every throttle input. Breath In/Breath Out.

I have ADHD lol.. Between me and me Dad befor he passed he was the Fabricator and i was the gear head so we made a dangous team..LOL
From cars to trucks to hit and miss engines and air planes.. Good Eye to catch the water tank on that engine.. Ill take a couple pics of the hit and miss engines
their is even an old 20hp diesel..
Ugh I didn't scroll all the way down.
:nopics:
Well not completely... but I wanna see the hardware. :D

Just yesterday I came across the name FTE Resonator. I did a search and came up with this page:
http://www.google.com/search?aq=f&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=fte+resonators

and this businesss selling the FTE line.
thttp://www.ftediesel(dot)com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=7

(copy & paste and change the (dot) to the real dot)

I spent some time watching several of the videos and the FTE resonator and muffler combo appears to cut the drone and slightly reduces the rumble from the 4" exhaust without adding any back pressure. I have not personally witnessed or experienced any of this with the FTE resonator, but if videos can be believed then the FTE may be what you need.

I have the 4" diamond Eye exhaust and love it, except for the volume when loaded/towing and stepping on the go pedal. As soon as I can save up enough pennies I'm going to try the FTE resonator muffler combo.

Don

Thanks don for posting those links.. I just dont want the drone in the cab so i think thats the way i will go the 4" dimond eye and the resonator sounds good.. now to find the time and the money the tree is running bare.. LOL. especially after the 4 michelin yesterday what happened 936.00 for 4 LT265 75 R16... ouch

. . . what happened [to the] 936.00 for 4 LT265 75 R16... ouch

Depending on the age of your spare, that math might come up short. When I got the Burb it still had the original issue spare so I was out for 5 tires. Call me what you want, but at least I will not take the gamble of running on a 13+ year old spare if I need it :)

As a side note, a friend of mine pushed back with 'but it has *plenty* of tread left' when I commented on his B-Van's tire age of 5 years and it was time to budget for new ones within the next year. 18 months later he purchased a new set of tires as one of them blew-out while his wife was at the wheel; he also thanked me for not mentioning to her about the earlier comment :D

I always take my best old tire and swap it for my spare tire. This way I'm not running around on a 15 year old spare, but rather a 5 year old spare. And MANY people don't believe in changing there tires at 5 years old, but these are also the same who will scratch there head when one of them blows out for no reason at 75 on interstate.

I was out last week with my head under the hood, wife came out with some cassettes she dubbed from CD for me, asked "How's the spare?". I went back to winch it down and couldn't turn the crank. Soaked in PB over nite and when I got the spare out it had the GM delivery tag on it from 1994 and was flat. Went to the local schwabbies and found a really good used tire for $30 bucks, mounted. They had to wire brush the bead area of the rim. Water had sat on top of that tire on and off for 18 years. Seems like $30 bucks every year or so is cheap enought insurance.

I hated the drop down spare tire carriers for just that reason. doing body work, I had more than a few be frozen up,, have to cut it down,, then replace with a new one, just to get the job done. Love the fact mine is inside now with the burb, and happy the previous owner, replaced the unused 12yr old GM spare, when doing all 5.

Well the spare was better than the tires on the truck so it stayed the tires were dry rotted but all new sneakers now.. Oh i finally took the camera with me today ill post up a few pics of the old iron..DSC_0004.jpgDSC_0012.jpgDSC_0013.jpg

i
dont have the 5yr problem often. The dmax is gettin a set of mickey thompson ATZ's next week to replace the 11 month old michellins (if they last that long). Spare is a 3yr old tire (16in spare and 20's on the ground so it gets one of the old bones i have laying around).

Da Boss has 2yr old tires

Beast has 1yr in the rears and 4 on the fronts and they WONT WEAR OUT (the rears were replaced due to 8yr old and some weather cracks)

Ol' Blue has black round things that roll lol

FLMIKE: Congrats on the SAWEET burb, Why did you go with 265's over a 235/85 (same height but narrower)? I would love a burb like that, my 00 crew cab will have to do.

it actually had 245 75 16 on from the factory.. No one had'em in stock around here so i went to the 265's and i am leaving on a 750-800 mile trip tomorrow so i didnt have time to order the 245's I didnt trust the maypops it had they were sun cracked really bad..

I was just wondering why when you changed from 245/75 (~30.5) to ~32" tires you didnt use a narrower tire like the 235/85 instead of the wide 265/75. Not a big deal I was just wondering if you had considered the difference and had an opinion to what you prefered or if it was based on availability or something.

I like the stance of a 265 and run that size on the front of my 93 dually with 235/85s on the rear. Works great and looks tough.

Just a availability thing and a time crunch deal i hate to lose a thousand dollar bill these days i put it off to the very last min and got caught... :frown2:

Didnt get caught that bad...

I made a cash offer on tires at the dealer and had a paycheck that exact amount, cashed it and was gonna head to the store the next day but that turned into 3 days later, looked and my $1500 for new skins was missing but NOTHING else (3 guns in the back and credit card in the same stash spot) Now 3 weeks later i have another check for close to the same amount but tires are at 1880 due to mickey thompson selling out and they wont take a cash offer. Now I get to leave 3300 in the hole for one set of tires FML

Just hoping the $ shows up under a seat or something at this point...

IIRC< most, if not all, 245/75 and 235/85s LRE have a load rating of 3042 lbs. kinda odd the big rubber is no better. now the 265/75 has another 200 or 400 lbs (cant remember, but it is definitely more) so maybe he was after load rating! :)

True the 265's are a better tire for hauling imo but with duals my 93 handles just fine with the 235/85's on the rear. 285/75's have an even higher rating if you have the ponies to turn them.

I was guessing ride quality with the wider tire but that was just a guess. Availability is a damn good reason, I've been stuck with god awful tires due to availability but michellins seem to do ok for everyone but me.
