I'm having trouble with a leak off the bottom of the fuel manager. Can't see exactly where, but it's a steady drip. Replaced O-rings but still leaking. Any ideas would be appreciated.
You have 4 possible leak places. Inlet and outlet line, fuel heater, and water in fuel sensor. I've had 2 WIF sensors go bad and leak though the sensor.
Oh yeah, move that sucker! All the super high mileage trucks we had in the fleets- many of those trucks got a new fuel filter every 5 weeks. So much better with it on the fenderwell. Only reason gm mounted them to the engine was faster assembly line production.
Get some sae30r9 fuel line and make it and the engine easier to work on.
there ARE my pics. i used stainless bracket, cut and formed, with SS and copper washers:
glow plug manual override solenoid is mounted to one of the bolts:
pics can do no justice to seeing it in person. my bay is dirty, i use it as a DD now.
I dont have pics but that is the same spot we moved them to.
At first we used allthread (threaded rod) straight up from the fenderwell. Later one of the guys made a bracket from 1" flatbar on each side, 1 to a fender bolt and the other went to the brake booster. Both worked ok.
