I have a problem. I confess to owning a Honda Accord and a Mercedes SLK 280, both manuals, in addition to the 6.5TD Burb. The rice ride has only thrown one code at me and that was for an oil pressure sensor for the VTEC cam. So far the SLK 280 has been code free. My 6.5TD Burb needs a Rosetta Stone to decipher the codes it throws.

Say,someone had the balls to say this, I own a Citroen DS Station Wagon which being French etc comes in for some flack.

I would say that's to bad you couldn't find a real car. As a frenchman I feel your pain, If I wanted to jest with him.

Thanks for implying that I have balls, I appreciate that, oh and not that it really matters I meant the car is French, I am originally English which of course can become the brunt of another whole range of ragging.

Point taken and yes it does appear to be somewhat human nature to make light comment of other persons tastes cultures etc...... To clarify 'tedious' in the end I do not really take it personally just get on with life. Lets face it if it did really bother me then odds are I certainly would not choose to own a Citroen.

As to the Rambler, well the DS is certainly no slug and was regularly entered into rallies back in the day including IIRC the Paris Dakar. So Nah my DS POS would piss all over your Rambler POS but then my DS as a 72 vintage perhaps not a fair contest? Who knows perhaps we'll meet up some day and test the theory and shoot the shit.

In the end each to his own I suppose and in life developing a Duck's back is definitely good trait to have.

That is the point of my post. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Open it and read it before you say it sucks. Get to know someone before judging on the basis of one post.

Well I'm sorry I even brought anything up, I didn't mean to create such a upset within this thread and the forum. I'm not "sissy bickering" but was making a point. I too agree that we shouldn't outright insult anyone. I understand we are all of the nature to make fun of some aspects of each other in good fun, and we do. I can't honestly say that I have never done something like that whether on forum or in person, however there is a point where it can become a little much. I did not find the original statement humorous, and in fact it did offend me because I do tow with my truck on a very regular basis, probably more than a majority of members on this forum. I wasn't asking for an apology or explanation in my original post, I just wanted to point out that at least for me (and i'm sure other members) statements that are crossing the humorous line should be discouraged and IMO aren't welcome here.

Its hard to say you didnt mean to cause a stink when you call another member out as basically being a jerk, which I find much more offensive than a simple joke.
