Frame Rust...

WOW shocked x2. That needs a good going over with a high pressure power wash (3000 psi ish.) to knock off the loose bits and a follow up (after drying thoroughly) with one of the rust killer sprays like Formula 3000. Painting with Rustolem (I like the high copper content primer) or POR. Pulling the bed is easier than you think and would make a better job of it.

Wow the salt air must attack everything up there.

If you ever need parts or info for your horns, my gf is an engineer @ Leslie Controls ;)

Thanks for Agreeing with me that this is FAR worse than it should be.

I Wash it atleast once a Week myself when the Temps Allow, or get it Machine Washed. I Spray Down Under it and everything.

I just Breaks my Heart to have to Consider Selling it SOON before the Rust get Worse and the Dealer or a Person gives me almost nothing because of it.

I don't know if you should power wire brush it except where (if) there is heavy rust. Scrape, pressure wash, hand brush the loose stuff/feather, and then coat.

I'd pull the bed and have the frame and rear end soda blasted... then por15 it...if you have a second vehicle I'd consider pulling the whole body off...

I'd love to have my frame look better than new(that wax stuff is ugly) but I have to use my truck for work and could never lay it up for that long...

No, I wanna do it Myself, so I can See how Bad it is as I Expose it, ya know?

I Found a Soda Blaster Gun on Ebay, and I have a Large Compressor, so I can do either the Scaler or Blaster.

I want something that is gonna take off the Waxy Coating as well, so I'm not sitting there trying to get it Off with a Scraper.

I know Blasting it will be more Expensive, but if it's gonna be Easier and get the Job done better and Faster, I'd Spend the Extra Money.

This stuff works very good. Look on the site they show it with a sprayer and a pump setup with tarps containing it all to keep spraying. I have not done the spray setup but will someday. I have used it for parts and it's great.

I have yet to try it with a sprayer but for soaking it does work like they said, just needs to be degreased 1st otherwise it contaminates the product

Well, I had some POR 15 Metal Ready in my Garage so I Sprayed what was Left in the Bottle on some Rust in the Front on the Frame and it actually got it Off and I can See Shiny Metal! But on some Areas I Sprayed it On, it didn't do a thing.
