Fluidampr....

I haven't added comment as I don't have personal results ...yet, I installed the FD on my project engine 2 years ago, but engine has not been installed as I've not been able to take truck down long enough to install the engine. My builder who races them likes them, Bill Heath likes them, as to comparing what happens on the track vs what works on the street in daily drive, or tow duty that is apples & orances data. From what I garner from various discussions I've read the jury is still out, and depends on what has one experienced, it looks to be a good fit for us, with the type of pounding dished out by a Diesel vs the way a gasser pounds on a crank, what is considered high compression on a gasser won't even get our fuel to ignite.

I may live to regret my choice, I hope to know something in Nov. a few I know who have installed theirs claim benefits, one caveat mine was balanced when built so comparing a OEM build vs a custom blueprinted build may not be a fair comparison.

Viscous couplings/dampeners are not new, just some new applications, think of it your fan clutch is a viscous coupling they give reasonable duty, as stated used in helicopters, also used in MANY power generation/mechanical drive couplings

I don't think the 6.2's have the rubber in the crank pulley to absorb the belt shock like we have in our 6.5's. Of course, I may be wrong.

93 "599" 6.2 in the pic. It was out of a bus.It had v-belt accessory drive with rubber in crank pulley.
All of my military 6.2's are solid mount crank pulleys. They are "660" engines
