Thanks i appreciate that,
ya im in southeast Washington (Tri-Cities).
My burb is a 94, as far as the headlights go they are brighter than stock but i will be installing an HID kit soon, the halos look great when hooked up but didnt last long on mine or my buddies truck so i disconnected them.

diesel sub wheels 2.jpgdieselsub10.jpgdiesel sub wheels3.jpgdiesel sub wheels1.jpgCant afford new tires for my PYO wheels right now, so I spent $5 on a rattle can paint job, a little chrome polish and elbow grease and it looks ten times better than the old rusty gray wheels did. These will probably end up being my winter rims, if I put some nice 265 or 285s on the PYOs. Still dont have all four done because I'm missing one trim ring, and the last center cap wont go on the wheel. Turns out the right rear is a different rim, looked closely and found a Ford stamp on it. Yuck, I think I'm going to throw up, a Ford part on my Chevy! Blasphemy.

Is your spare rim a good OEM rim?

Yup, and I already painted it black, but the tires near bald so I just need to get it switched over. The pics dont do it justice, it really looks great to me now. I added pics of the silver wheels when I first bought it, and they dont look bad in the pic either but they were. They were all rusty and gross. I polished the heck out of the nasty old gray centercaps and got them to come back like brand new chrome, wish I had taken a before and after shot of those. I drove it around for a couple days with just the black painted wheels, and while I dont really care for that look, I gotta admit they looked tough. Almost a military look to the truck or something. Or like Kenny said, Secret Service.
This is exactly how I did my 82 dually wheels, black with chrome trim rings and chrome lugnut caps, I think it came out cool. Only thing is I think it makes the rims look smaller. I'm hoping to score some 19.5 rims for my 82, in which case I'll have to put stainless simulators on it, since I don't think I'll find 19.5 trim rings. Then I can take the nice 235/85s from the dually and put them on the Sub.
I am really enjoying this truck!

I never did like the look of the rims painted black, but it grew on me, and i did it about 2 years ago. Starting to rust, gonna have to do it again! They are also my winter set with 265/75R16's..

I like the Alcoa rims which are forged:

The set on the left will soon be going on the '99:

Heer's a link to an instance where over tightening cracked two PYOs:

Chevy 3/4 ton wheels (see pic and description)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need a set of wheels for my 3/4 ton chevy pickup... One of the asshats at American Tire overtightened the lugs and cracked two of my aluminum rims... I want to replace them with these stock GM aluminum wheels... Wheels need to have the center caps as pictured.. Not interested in any aftermarket wheels.. Wheels and caps need to be in good shape..

Ive seen this style wheel come a lot on some 250-350 Fords stock. Are those made by Alcoa? I also like the Alcoa rims. Wondering if Ford made them or got them through Alcoa since they look very similar.
