Duramax fan and clutch mount question

Okay Fan, and Clutch Went on without a hitch...and about 1/4 clearance to shroud. Was nice that I didn't have to trim The plastic.
Fan seems louder so far and can hear it sucking until it warms up (which is opposite of what you would think would happen).
I Cant tell if its engaging at the right temps....as I just changed T-stats and was hovering between 195-205F after it warmed up....were before It was always around 185F with old 190F stat, and fan.

I used the ACDELCO 12T45E which is apparently made by motorad.
( I called mototrad and asked if they made the tstat as It didn't have any hint of GM on it, and they said they make for GM).

Thats a bunch of BS if you ask me.....Delco comes in a Delco box. NEVER heard of "motorad"......I like the Robertshaw 180*-190*........you're still running too hot, change the T Stat. Kennedy diesel sells the the Robertshaw's or go to the OEM GM T Stats amd get a 190*

JMO

Also just got off Phone with OEHQ who said Something like line 12 (12T45E) is other manufacturer for AC DELCO....
I was just trying to get the one BuddY had referenced and said was good....I guess Ill try and get a 190 from robertshaw.

Get A 180*.......keeps my rig just under 190*, It might result in a little less MPG, but the temp factor is more important in big picture.

Also summer is coming and if you don't like the results you can return to 190*-195*, when fall comes......Again JMO

I ordered a 190 From Kennedy.....should be here today. Well see how this one goes.

Okay The 190 Seems to be working properly. It looks like the oem stat....
The one that buddy recommended did not work well, it was going up to 210F,
and was supposed to be 195....Maybe It was for a dual stat setup (I don't Know).

I'm Thinking that if I found a 195F stat that is similar to the OEM and kennedy's it would work better...I have to find one and see.

I took some Pictures (not any of Kennedy's Stat...was a afterthought).

This was the one that didn't work...was seeing up to 210F with this stat

This was the 15Yr old OEM one GM old Part#12551496 (still worked)

This was the Box from Kennedy's 190 Stat (when I find a 195 Ill take a picture of this stat)
Looks Like Robertshaw is partnered up with Prestone.
Prestone is listing it for our truck http://www.cadna.com/Catalogs/Prestone_Thermostat_2006_Catalog.pdf

On the Original Clutch there was an oil spot.
You can see were it is leaking out through the small hole above were the fins come to a V (below the flat part of the spring).

The second Tstat with the rubber band around it looks like the correct one for a single Tstat truck.

There was no rubber band on Kennedy's....and I didn't transfer it from the OEM one either

Your not wrong...thats from kennedy! Click the picture to enlarge....look under were it says cooper standard....above were were it says made in mexico.

Maybe someone else can chime in......Robert Shaw stats are packaged in Prestone Boxes?

I saw the Robert Shaw logo but......I guess Prestone bought RS?

Do the Delco and the RS physically look the same?
