disc brake modification

Hey TD thanks a lot buddy! Trying to spend all my money $1536 later! How dare you lure me into places like that and expect me not to go for it!

Okay, just kidding. The rear kit, SS braided hoses, and carbon whatever pads are all ordered and on the way. Should get installed Wednesday night... Believe it or not the wife will help for once since it is her truck and she needs it the rest of the week for work. :)

Hopefully a good write up to follow.

Some might consider the upgrade expensive, but in city traffic it is better than paying an insurance deductable. Plus still cheaper than a new car payment!
 
Adrian at least you got away with just rears, I did front & rear, stainless lines, carbon pads, slotted rotors, "firm feel" HD master cylinder,

Now that they have recently introduced them am on verge of getting set of drum/disc conversion for the 9 ton capable Millenium trailer I put the back hoe on, I only put 6 tons on it, but the trailer is plenty capable of stopping both load and tow vehicle. 2 more axles on that one.

So don't feel so bad you are only doing 1 axle, by time I get finished I'll have done 4 of em.
 
Whew TD that sounds like a lot of brake work! It gets expensive, but worth it in the long run.

Can expand on the "firm feel" HD master cylinder, that is a new one to me?

When I did mine they had a master cyl and maybe just for 1500s the gives more oomph over the stock master cyl, you'll have to call to see if still something they sell or also just for the 1500
