Current project, 64 VETTE

NNNICE!

I'd like to hear it idle another 100-150 R's higher.. But that's just me.
Once it gets fully warmed up it idles a bit higher, but I like the low idle lope of it. Once you kick the A/C on the fast idle kicks it up to about 800 instead of 600 to help smooth it out.

Well it's about 98% done now. I have to go out of town for a few days, so we had to take it back to the owners house as things aren't real secure around my place right now and I don't feel comfortable leaving a $75K VETTE sitting in my shop with me in another state. Heres a few pics of it before we loaded it in the trailer.

Well I finally was able to get a tag for it, so this one is done. Took it out tonight and finished teh break in on it, and she runs pretty SWEET! I didn't get any video or anything of it, but I'm gonna see if maybe I can get one later on of it. Got the timing stop installed in it for the vacuum advance, and set it to the lowest vacuum setting possible(starts moving at 2.5 inches of vacuum, and goes full advance of 15 degrees at 9). I left the timing set at 12 at idle(vacuum disconnected), and total at 36. It could use some more as it doesn't even remotely spark knock, but it ran so good and cool I didn't want to change it. Never got over 165 on the guage, and oil pressure was 25 at idle and 55 going down the road. From how it ran I would guess it to be a conservative 325-350HP with it's current tuning. It had no trouble getting up to 80 when I did open her up, but I only revved it to 6000 and let off when I shifted to 3rd. Now it's time to move on to my next project, being a stay at home mom as we NEED my wifes benefits as a teacher.

Good job Ferman. Thanks for sharing that project with us. That was definitely a sweet car.

Join the club, as I like to refer to it as Mr. Mom. ;) :D

That's more common than one would think nowadays.

Yep, I'm officially a stay at home house wife now doing cooking and cleaning. The scary site is seeing me in heels and a skirt doing it:eek:.
