CS144 ALT CONVERSION BRACKET. WITH PICs

I put an AD244 in a 95 suburban. The thread is here somewhere.

I bought them from AZ.com, it was shipped directly from Delco Remy.

Wonder if this bracket works with AD244?
Dimension is thinner than the CS144 but I think the mounting bracket is the same, not sure of the angle, though.

I have it in this thread:
http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?39709-AD244-Install-on-95-Suburban

Let me know if you need a different angle.

At the end, I put the back bracket by grinding the 9 o'clock bolt position looking from the back.
The bottom bolt goes through the bracket.

It sure looks close. Is the top mount 2" wide? I might have an equivalent alt here? if I do I'll mount it and get a picture.
As I said before you need as many strong mounting points as possible. I had my factory strap bracket break using the spacer mod thing.

As I noted in the other AD244 thread, no rear bracket. It is a large chunk of metal to come loose with a big power wire on it. Everything else belt driven quits and you are walking till it is fixed. Looks very nice otherwise.

I checked my brackets today and one truck is digging into the alt case with the flipped support from the tensioner.

I'll take 2... ( :skep: Bout time!)

Looks like that one has a rear bracket attach point available.

It does, its the stock 96 alt, not AD244. The AD244 is physically the same otherwise AFAIK. My bracket would be even better suited to a AD244 swap.

The Corvette alternator fan look on the CS144 would be hard to part with. That and nether CS144 has done me wrong like the CS130's I simply Bar-B-Q way too often. Not sure on the reliability of the other models but they have to be better than a CS130. Officially the CS144's have lasted me longer than the CS130's on my 6.5's.

This one was smoking good and had me seriously thinking about calling a fire truck.

I forgot I had these pics. They are pretty cool and gives you an idea of the quality and amount of time it takes to make them. Not to mention the time programing it into the machine.

This is done to see how many parts I can cut from this material.

Looks like three.

Center drilling for next steps for mounting holes and tensioner window.

This picture fascinates me. Not sure if you can see it very well, but before I resized it you could see the cutting fluid fozzen. It looks like some kind of creature.

It will be about 2 weeks before there ready. Right now I don't even know what to charge. Its a matter of running a couple to see how much time they spend on the mill. After that I'll know.
The good thing is you can still get one later after you do the ATT. Thanks for the order. Will process it tomorrow.

How is the rear bracket looking? Got to have a full kit available...
