Believe Missy Goodwrench is a fan of an outfit called Clearwater cylinder heads. Search the forum & there should be some threads on them.

I looked on E - Bay there is a bunch of Clear water,they even have a 6.5 block for $1200
dollars

I've had them on my rig for 6 months now. Work great, keep cooler than before. No problems yet. I'm a very easy driver, no big pulls.

Has anyone run these heads and taken them off to see the condition of the precups or anything? Just curious, maybe I'll have to give these guys a call and ask them that question though.

I would like to know too.I am a little sceptical about bying chineese heads,I would like to know what size pre cups they have or can you get them in any size you want,like the circle or the square or the diamond and can they take a beaten like pulling a lot of weight up and down hills all day every day.

I am pretty sure these are the heads on my engine. They had some issues, so custom they went. I will see if I can find MaxPF's thread on these heads (can't remember which forum).

OK found the threads from thedieselpage.

This one is MaxPF's thread on the Clearwater heads he bought;

and here is a disscussion about these heads;

from page 3 of the above thread

I think I have been fair about my assessment of these heads. The cup material is inferior IMO, and the cups weren't machined for a proper fit. The casting is a bit rough as well. OTOH, there are no gross flaws in the casting, and the seat machining appears to be quite good. I threw an intake gasket on them today, and the ports actually match up as good as the GM heads. Also, closer inspection revealed that there IS more metal in the deck area. I still need to measure the guide clearance, but judging by the fit of the valve stems I think they are fine.
