I just bought 4 new Cooper Discoverer A/T 3 tires. I replaced my General Grabber HTS tires with 81,500 miles on them. I probably could have gone a little longer with them, but decided to change them BEFORE I had any issues.
I was excited to try a different tire. I am now a little concerned because these tires have a much more aggressive tread than I had prior, and they are much noisier on the highway. Time will tell I guess. These Coopers are also a little narrower than the General Grabber HTS tires. I have some photos of my worn tires. I will see if I can post some of the new tires as well. If I can get another 81K on these, I will be happy.
I paid $712 out the door for 4 tires, mounted and balanced. I have a $70 mail in rebate that I have to send in. $642 total for the 4 tires after the rebate. Not as good as I did last time with the General Grabber HTS tires ($535), but not bad nonetheless.
