I just bought 4 new Cooper Discoverer A/T 3 tires. I replaced my General Grabber HTS tires with 81,500 miles on them. I probably could have gone a little longer with them, but decided to change them BEFORE I had any issues. :)

I was excited to try a different tire. I am now a little concerned because these tires have a much more aggressive tread than I had prior, and they are much noisier on the highway. Time will tell I guess. These Coopers are also a little narrower than the General Grabber HTS tires. I have some photos of my worn tires. I will see if I can post some of the new tires as well. If I can get another 81K on these, I will be happy.

I paid $712 out the door for 4 tires, mounted and balanced. I have a $70 mail in rebate that I have to send in. $642 total for the 4 tires after the rebate. Not as good as I did last time with the General Grabber HTS tires ($535), but not bad nonetheless.

Get a louder exhaust... Ran then on the burb and they were alright. I prefer the highway commercial HT3 myself biased of the old SRM Radial II.
 
Great tires. HT3's on one and HTPs on the other for me. Cooper makes a nice line.

FWIW I've heard nothing but good things on the cooper AT3's

great wear and the low noise they have doesn't get any louder once worn...

When the Goodyear SRA's wear out(they were new when I got the truck), I will go with the Cooper AT3's
 
I love mine. Actually did end up with two screws in one. Just plugged them and still fine today.
Mine are on my 94 f350, can't say they're that loud. I keep about 75 psi in them.

I'm considering them but it's really tough to convince myself not to go with BFGS again. I need to make the decision very soon.

I have AT3's on the front of my dmax and stt max on the rear. The rears have 25k and the fronts and the fronts have 10k so far I'm really happy!
 
Just a quick update.

These tires are noisier than a highway tread, but not as loud as say a mud and snow tread.

They buzz like a bee and go up and down with speed.

These tires seem to run better with more air pressure. They had a heavy feeling when I had 62 psi in all 4 tires. I am away camping, towing my 35 ft Travel trailer, so I have 75 in the rear and 70 in the front. It rides fairly well, and doesn't give you the impression that your tooth fillings are going to fall out or become loose when going over small road bumps or pot holes.

It takes a little getting used to. I have also noticed a slight loss in mpg.
 
I love my AT3's and st maxx tires but I know people that really like the HT version.

I always like a more aggressive tread on the rear so if I get a dd/family rig it will likely have HT's up front and at's in the rear.
