Considering selling my K2500

The pedal will always have pressure on it, there's a return spring in the on the linkage. What about the rod from the master, is that in correctly?

I would think so, because I've driven since November with only a leaky transmission, which I fixed around March, finally m Also, I have more pressure on the pedal than if I had no clut
ch. And if I had air in the system, than I ought to be able to pump the clutch andget it to shift every once in a while, but no amount of pumping has helped.

yeah you could do is see if any has worked down to the bleeder it may help your problem jut my .02 before you tear the tranny down

what have you ben running for tranny fluid? will it speed shift? (shift it like a semi, careful change in throttle, match engine RPM with trans RPM and slide it in.) I am doing that right now with the 95 GMC, it is a bit easier on the trans, heard it is harder on the clutch, but trans life is key to me right now, as it sounds horrible, and needs to get through harvest up here in Idaho.

The more I think about it the more I'm thinking that your master has an internal leak. Another thing to take into consideration is the flywheel thickness, if it has been surfaced a couple of times it could be you're not getting enough throw to fully disengage the clutch. I wonder if there is a shim or spacer that would go behind the slave to take up for such wear but I have never heard of one.

Update: I moved my truck today from my friend's backyard to his driveway - getting ready to drop the tranny to see what's going on... I forgot to mention on that fuel/idle issue that I was revving it up before it started having issues at higher rpm's. But, I still would have issues sometimes while driving it. I've yet to check into whether its IP or PMD, but I do have consistant fuel pressure...well as consistant as stock pressure allows.

As for the transmission, before today I had not seen any fluid leaking from the slave cylinder. Than, I moved it today and there is brake fluid (clutch fluid) all over the crossover pipe and driveway. So...my guess is my 3rd internal slave cylinder has gone bad! :(

Anyone have any recommendations on Master Cylinders, Internal Slave Cylinder, and a clutch set? I've tried advanced auto parts, napa, and maybe autozone. If it were your truck, where would you get the internal slave cylinder and clutch set? Thanks!

Hey Gm Guy are u a travelling combine operator???? Thats so cool!

kinda sorta, just driving dad's combines. we have a small time custom operation out here (dont even take the combines to KS, they are old and cheap enough you can have a few, and they stay at the family farm here in idaho, so we come out and do a couple hundred acres, mainly small jobs, but it pays decent, and were are one of few that still have combines with straw walkers, which produce long stem straw, rather than chew it up into dust like the rotary processor combines, so I guess you could say we cater to a niche market. google roseworth Idaho, it really isnt a town anymore, but it does come up. it is across a dangerous ass canyon, green giant wont raise sweet corn over here anymore, lost too many trucks in that canyon. interesting place out here, that is for sure.

Shucks GMguy I was hoping u combined from Texas to Canada, I was gonna lobby for a job. I think that would be a great way to see the heartland! I know about straw walkers. U can also lay the straw in a windrow for baling. Lotta people around here contract their straw for balling in those huge square bales and then it gets ground up and pelleted for animal bedding, fishing worm bed ingredient and heating stove auto pellet feeders. Oh well maybe I get to see the heartland one day! LOL Keep on farmin!

Also, any ideas on what could be chewing up my slave cylinders? I mean, that's the second replacement since a year ago. Could a cheap 'advance auto parts' clutch set effect the napa slave cylinder?

So what do you mean by "chewing up the slave cylinders"? Are they getting damaged or just blowing seals or? I would look at the input housing, shaft real good, pilot bearing and the nose of that shaft .

I guess just blowing seals... The slave that's in it now is the third replacement, I think, and I think it's my main problem... This whole deal started around a year ago, as stated earlier...

Did the seals say thank you ??? :rof:
Probably just chinese made junk. I put a brand new master on my 93 and the friggin thing started pissing brake fluid everywhere. I bought a different brand( I think I actually used Perfection the second time around) and it held.
