Can I run 285/75/16 tires on my K1500

They won't rub i have my t- bars turned up like 4 or 5 turns and i'm running 35's no rubbin even with flex

John are those stock 16" rims with 0 offset?

275/55/20 are slightly wider and a tad taller than 265/75/16, but close.

The first number is width in mm, second is ratio of width to wall height, so multiply first number by the decimal of the second, multiply that by 2, and add last to get the theoretical tire height in mm. divide by 25.4 to get inches. Installed height is usually about 1/2 to 1 inch shorter though.

Well they don't rub, I'll qualify that by saying my Son didn't tell me he was going to install 2 inch lift blocks in the rear and crank the tortion bars about 5 turns. I must say it does look good sitting like that.

Not sure how good it will look at night but her ya go.

The front wheel looks like it is setting pretty far out at the edge of the wheel well. Is that a stock 0 offset wheel, or do the 16" have some negative offset?

My stock 15s were 0 offset and I never had nearly that much fender clearance either, much different suspension on the C vs K.

They are the stock wheels. I see what you are saying and I think it is because the wheels are turned slightly to the right in the picture. I will try to get some pictures in the daylight if I am lucky enough to get home from work while it is still daylight.

Concur, Nice looking ride. Stance looks agressive.
I'm running 285 x 70 x 17 on 17x9 rims. 3" lift. Utah demanded the fender flares...oh well.

my 99 k1500

i run 285/75/16s on my 99 k1500 z71 with out adjusting anything the only time it rubs on my A arms is when im out playing and hiting a rough trail, im actually goona update with a 2 inch suspension and run 33s not for sure but you 285 75s will fit atleast with my buck shot mudders they do

285/75/16 on K1500

Yes you can. I just installed Cooper ST MAXX on my K1500 (1997) yesterday - 285/75/16s. They fit perfect! No rubbing. And, I didn't mess with my torsion bars or add any lift system.

Did you have to get an alignment because of cranking up the T bars ? I had those tires, I personally hated them. They sucked in bad weather and dry rotted . Maybe you'll have better luck.
