back when i was married and showed horses id sleep in the horse stall or in or on top of my truck for week or weekend long shows... is that camping? I sure miss them days thats for sure... :(

Hey Deere u tell em thats camping, a man and his horse! Poll needs to be modified, its inaccurate, theres a bunch of people go to the weekend campout trail rides. So I camp in my homemade living quarter goose neck horse trailer. She is a 1971 mild steel WW with a 20 ft. box n hauls three horses slant loaded. I got it all, self contained and fridge, microwave, cowboy shower, porta potty, king size bed, stereo, ac, n heat!!!! Lots of times there will b 600-700 riders and we have a grand time, some in tents, even ground clothes and soogans right on up to three slideout factory goosenecks with living quarters and BIG RVs. One thing in common is everybody luvs their rig! LOL I always like to decorate with my Flamingo collection! LOL Some lite up @ nite. This pic is with my 1985 3+3 Dually, she was a beast, Big Blue was 4 doors, 454 n she could pull the hinges off He!! Traded her 4 my GMC diesel last month so I could run off wvo, hope it was a good decision. Sorry the trailer doesnt show in the pic.

2011 831RLBSS (Rear Living room Bedroom Slide/Slide) Flagstaff Superlite Classic. Classed as a 31 footer, but it's actually 35 feet from bumper to hitch.

Atrium Superslide in the living room, full bath, slide in the bedroom forward.

Not sure if I would call it "camping" at this point though....

Funny you posted this poll today. I have been working all weekend on ours. Got the water system and propane system all up to snuff now. Everything works!! Well, except for my tank level indicator doesnt show 'everything' for each tank. Oh well....

Also started scrubbing the inside from back to front... other peoples germs yanno!

But... for $600.... cant really complain!!

Is it the black water tank, the grey water or the fresh?

If it's the black or grey water tanks, they're usually just "scummed" up.

You can buy cleaners for them or here's an interesting idea: http://www.smithsrvcentre.com/article/tank-level-accuracy-587.asp

There's also a better set of probes ou ton the market that resist scumming better than most. I just can't remember the name right now...

Edit: this isn't the one I was thinking of, but it's pretty cool all the same!

Over the years I've used tents, bed of the truck, camp trailer, slide in camper, tarp hanging between trees. Currently running with a slide in camper. Mainly as long as I don't have a rock jamming me in the back I'm not that picky

I had a popup tent trailer when folded out was 18 ft long. Made for great sleeping but Laurie was such a a pain in getting her butt in gear to help pack it a day before we left and so last summer I sold it to someone who has used it a lot since he got it. Then down side is 3 weeks later she tells me she is going to file for divorce and move to Tx. SO I now miss my trailer a lot!!!! and at times am sorry TX has to put up with her (NOT!!!!!) and I am now looking for a popup camper for my truck and that way me and the dog can get out of dodge real quick. Propably will get real serious come spring though as there are many of them out there and I want to find a nice one.

I voted camping, whats that? as I have only went about 10 times or less in my life. hopefully I will buy a bumper pull, ora cheap 5th wheel sometime soon, as we need a bunkhouse for harvest in ID.

The interior of my K5 is stripped down to nothing, which makes it very easy to fit these 2 small waterproof camping mattresses i have back there.

Wish there were more room, but me and my GF are both about 6' tall (i'm a very tall eskimo LOL) and we fit back there perfectly.

I've only towed at bumper pull and it was put to good use, but after being in a hand full of 5'ver's while I was traveling, I don't think I would ever buy anything else other than a 5'ver. My bumper pull was 8' wide, but didn't have any slideouts. If I were to get another pull behind camper, it would have to have at least 2 slides and at least 28' long. Though, don't get me wrong, I love to tent it just like anyone else. Use to do that a bunch as a kid, and kinda miss it now as I have gotten older. That might have to be on the list of things to do this summer now that I think about it.

Oh man, you grew up in Idaho and didn't go camping?? You're missing out on some incredible sights. Most memorable for me was a week long hike in the White Clouds range of the Sawtooth mountains. Standing next to a lake in the Selway wilderness or the trailhead to the 7 Devils are a couple others etched in my memory.

yeah, sad I know! :) only lived there till 5, only there for a month a year since the move.

Well, I have an 08 R-Vision 28ft TT but this weekend was the last straw. it's going up for sale and I admit defeat. Memorial Day weekend we went camping and spent it in the ER after my son fell out of the bunk at 1am. 2 weeks later we were supposed to go to Mass for a camping/concert event and it rained so ****ing hard I put the cover back on it and cancelled the trip and now on the eve of 4th July my kid has a fever. So I blew 600$ on campsites so far that we did not use. I'm done.
:suicide:
