Bought 2 cans of Sea Foam,,,

Yes Russ, welcome to the forum.
Seafoam is good stuff. I used it quite often in the fuel on My 93 K1500, had about 270,000 miles on it when I sold it.

Iso-Propyl Alcohol... Picks up water that has settled out in the fuel tank past the water separator filter to where it can do the most damage in the IP and injectors. Nothing you want near a diesel unless you are running from a 5 gal pail to clean bugs out of the system. And in that rare case there are better things on the market to use.

So it is safe to run the Iso-Propyl in the diesel tanks ?

Do not run things with alcohol in it, let alone pure, in the tank if it can be avoided. The alcohol, as WW said, puts any water in suspension and allows it to pass the water sperator and go through the pump and injectors where it causes damage.

There are some situations where it helps, such as... the truck I just got for my nephew. About 1.5 years ago the p.o. filled up with some bad fuel, then parked it waiting to get around to fixing it. Now it’s in my backyard. We pump out all remaining fuel from LP. Drain & remove filter. Will flush tank with gas, then diesel. Going to run new diesel with some seafoam to clear out any remaining crap. Even clear out the return fuel lines. The key is removing as much as possible before adding seafoam. Every drop more of water that goes through the pump or injectors is bad.
Only reason I am using it is trying to resolve a known problem- no way would I add it to my tank just because...

Old school practice was to add straight isopropyl to the tank to help with jelling. Problem is it wears things out.
