Anyone know where I can get a Air conditioning delete pulley for my 94 6.5?

Just curious why an AC delete pulley, if clutch isn't engaged no extra load, and down around these parts one would not even consider a no ac truck, beside that AlBore et als. say we are in midst of global warming, :willynilly:how you gonna survive that wit no ac.

Well my compressor is starting to make a noise, I think I have a hole somewhere as I cant get it to take a charge, dont want to dump money into something I never use if I had it... being on a tractor in the sun all day Im use to the heat

Its a wonder Al Gore hasnt tried to outlaw AC in the U.S. with all that global warming they cause. Then only him and some of his close dem friends can have them. I was thinking about deleting mine also see as i only use it maybe once are twice a year. So the gasser pulley will work?

I was thinking about giving him, AlBore a piggy from the Airport, in the Chevy to Oslo when he was here to collect his prize... but he took the Train, i though Boy he must have lot of wind in he`s stomach, to do some real damage..Every day...

the pully off the 5.7 should work because after tracking part numbers it turns out to be the same compresser. im waiting for some time to do this and i hate ac even in the tractors i dont know what it is but it puts me to sleep i ve never used it in any of my vehicals

Where did track the part numbers? My 94 is going to be different then your 98 if I remember right..

In the parts catalog, your engine would have had the vacuum pump mounted up where the AC compressor is if it didn't have AC. The brackets used are also different (for the factory design anyway). All engines used the same compressor in 1994, and the small blocks did use a compressor-delete pulley/bracket assembly, PN 10118713. I wouldn't see why you couldn't use that (either used or new, GM hasn't discontinued it as of right now, current list $60.94) to eliminate your compressor if so desired. It's not very clear if the dummy pulley is the same diameter, you might need a different length belt.

I am happy my truck has no a/c. Especially the fact that their is no a/c condensor to get clogged up in an alerady problematic cooling system. But, I also never use it. Even in the wifes car... puts me to sleep :)

You could compare it to heat... living in the south, you may not use your heat often, but nice to have when you need it. Up north, we depend on the heater in winter, probably as you guys depend on the a/c in the summers.

Bump!!! Has anyone had any luck with this? I have been tracking part numbers for days with no luck
