Aces went dodge?!!?!??!?!?

Well, It's been about 10 days and I gotta say switching back and forth between the Tahoe and the Dodge , the Tahoe is much faster. I think the Dodge had more balls towing on the highway but flat puch it and go the Tahoe wins. Of course I can't sell either 6.5 , guess the 6.5 market's a little tough right now. I wouldn't be terribly upset if I get stuck with one of them but two it too much. Trying to get 5k for the Tahoe and 5k for the pick up. Both are in good order. Am I asking too much ?

Put the dodge up for 2k more than you paid and see if you get bites on that.

Not a chance. If anything I probably over paid for the Dodge. I have loosely considered if it came down to totattly not being able to unload either truck to trade the Dodge and my wife's pilot in on a new pilot but i don't think it will come to that. I mean trading up to something with 67k from something with 173k is nice plus going on trips not worrying baout overheating or breaking down. Just can't figure why the Tahoe is not moving. Everytime I have seen one on ebay it went for stupid money and the last one I saw was a rust bucket underneath. Mine is clean for it's age. I'm thinking listing all the mods I did is scaring people off thinking it's been beat.

The mods only work on 6.5TD educated consumers......I think your on to something!

True... Others may think its all ghetto'd out??? Try dropping them the mods. Say soemthign on the lines of more power than my stock Cummins, due to Exhaust and Performance chip.....

I read one of your ads when you thought you had tranny issues, and you were way too honest. Suggesting it had problems even perhaps, not talking about the Tranny, something to do with the camper...........

Got a bite on the pickup. Wish me luck. At this point if it goes and I'm stuck with the Tahoe, I won't cry about it. I tried giving the Dodge to my old lady and get rid of the Pilot. No sale...

Ask for more money. Sounds crazy, but I had an '80 Chev that was beat to hell. Tried to sell it for $800, no takers, not even lookers. Raised it to $1200, and Bam! Three buyers showed up first thing in the morning the day the ad ran. 2 had checks, 1 had cash...

Of course, I can't seem to sell the wife's Toy. tried all the tricks. Maybe it's karma; I didn't want her to buy it from the beginning.

Ford was no better. My Superduty puked at 77k. It actually seems the 4L80e is a bit underrated. It's a damn good tranny. Funny thing is in the old days Dodge made one of the best trannys. what happended ? The Torqueflight 727B in my Camper is 39 yrs old and still works like the day it left Dodge and it's pulled 10k it's whole life.

The chrysler 727 was great right from the factory, and has logged MANY 1/4 mile runs behind the Hemis,383s, 440s, etc.. It's what I put in my Hemi courier ('70s), to eliminate the linkage issues with a clutch. IIRC, designed in the '50s to beat the chevy Powerglide, was the best AT around 'till '78 when they went to a lock up converter, and made some compromises.

Aw man, that is what I want to do with mine. I have two of them but I have the rare 220 models.

Do you mean 225 slant 6, or a 190 6cyl stroked/punched out? Custom swaps are fun and rewarding, after the bugs are all dead. I remember a porsche 912 with an Olds big block stuffed in. here's a link to a similar, newer version that even mentons the old one.

For you, it would be a sacrifice of some footroom to make it a shaker. Cut the floor to fit, and make a new cover. I've seen some beautiful carpentry on mohome engine covers.
