I got the kit with steel braided lines and fittings.IIRC the smaller O rings go on the bolt.
This may be too late but if you are on a budget this is what I did. http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/diy-oil-cooler-lines-small-lines.594/
The next time I will get Leroy's kit.
I already got the ac delco one bolted up I mean every one says 100k the OEM one should last well I don't drive that much and even when I start diesel school I won't be driving to school home and work. I only ever use my truck to pull a boat trailer is if I can't use my parents expedition. I'm all for better quality but not right know at this moment. My solution? IDK your income situation, but if you can put away a little bit a month to dump on the truck, I would highly suggest appling for the Paypal "Bill me Later" deal where if you pay it off in full within 6 months, no interest is charged, basically an interest free loan if you play it right.
I personally did this myself, and I got it paid off and it worked out great.
That said, I will never spend money on a rubber type main harmonic damper, as unless its on its last leg, it will be getting a Fluidampr anyways, so why spend the money delaying the inevitable? I will monitor the condition of the OEM damper, and when it looks the least bit iffy, it will be time for a Fluidampr.
I have 2 Fluidamprs waiting to go on, 1 allready on, and my old man, one who is very cheap, one who plots ways of re-using my 3000 mile oil, as it "isnt used up yet" runs 2 Fluidamprs on 2 of his 6.5Ls, so IMO that speaks volumes in itself on the quality and overall "value" of the Fluidampr, as my old man wont spend anything if he doesnt have to.
Its actually an SFI approved balancer. They make an OEM replacement for about $60. They're website also indicates they build a street performance version but didn't do enough looking to see if they made one for the 6.5
Yes it was the ac delco off of rock auto I forget the box is in the fire but here's the number off of rock 10154688Yeah, I would like an option in between the expense of a FD balancer, yet better than the AC Delco.
bdemutis, was that the AC Delco, if so what part number?
I though everything made by gm was basically am ac delco like spark plugs and gps I thought are ac delco from factory. That is GM's (AC Delco's) number. imo expect 100,000 miles, but watch it still to be safe.
I got oem spec.ac delco has 2 different lines of parts. professional (close to OEM) and regular
