Howdy all.

It looks like here, we will be able to discuss freely about this nice turbo, so I will report here.

It's been a bit long before I mount it, as I wanted to have a nice intake, and NVM told me patience is a virtue, wich is true ):h

The turbo is only 2 "days old" on the truck and I haven't been able to test it really by now.

What I can say for now is that I get the feeling the truck is more responsive, no need to push strong on the pedal (though the GL4 helps too), climbs hill very easy, low EGT, no smoke, slight whistle.
What's funny is that, according to my boost gauge, it seems it deliver less PSI, but really seem to push better than my stock GM5 + Turbo Master at higher PSI.

Take care to tighten carefully the hose clamps, if not, the turbo will blow inside engine bay :eek:

I will keep on testing during the week and will report then (mileage, EGT at WOT, drivability, etc...)

I know over there the thread got closed down some crap about someone trying to sell a turbo. All i seen was he was posting up pictures and tech information.

ooooops it was my post, which was deleted before he locked it. I had said PM Stateman to another poster who was asking where to get one. Did not know that PMs where now illegal too!!! :confused::confused::confused:

I don't remember I was linking to any place or advertising for anybody.

I was just happy to share, like I did when the D-Tech PMD showed up, and like I still do when we talk about the FRB-5.

If, one of these day xxx company is able to build a new strong IP to compet the DS4, I will be happy to talk about too...
 
I didnt think it was a problem if you used PM. But you can go down to the DMAX aftermarket section and see all sorts off parts that are not sold by a vender on the site but they let that stay.
 
Personally I think Slim was reported to a mod or the adm. A friend of another member relayed that he was pursuing a turbo offering. I Can't think of his name out of the blue just now. Leo
 
Hey guys thanks for having my back over at the place! This site has the best people, The mods at the place sent me a pm stating I had committed an infraction and that I needed a monthly 150.00 vendor license before I could discuss the turbo. I then posted my response that I couldn't talk about them any more and it kind of went down from there.

I will be selling the A-Team Turbo on this site exclusively. So if you guys hit the other site and talk about your A-Team Turbo and someone asks: tell them they are only available from DTR, and to PM me, cause that is the way it is going to be. I never abandon those that I can trust.

I will try and get the vendor thing strait here so they have a place to go to purchase one. I don't have a web site cause that all adds to the cost, I want this to be a reasonable replacement alternative to a high priced rebuilt gm -8. The turbo is 700.00 plus shipping so you know the price. No scams here at the DTR forum .

Dennis, thanks for your hard work. Keep the turbo over hee; let them come looking for it.

The way they're going at it over there, there won't be ANY 6.5 tech around in very short order.

I for one am no longer answering tech questions on that site. For anyone.

WOW, I for one had not really realized how hostile things were, i did notice that things seem to be a little more laid back around here though.

But anyway....
Matuva, just out of curiosity, what kind of battery is that I see in your truck? I have never seen one quite like it.
 
It is amazing that we allow their links here, and are much more open about the tech ideas, and new ideas in general. I spoke with Nick tonight,and told him the turbo will only be available here. SO lets see them, Orson Wells, (1984) them self into oblivion, I will not answer any questions there either.
 
what a bunch of bullshit you guys. post where you want i guess but this "takin my ball and goin home" is not the attitude that I grew to truly respect about many of you. i am a little disappointed in this affair all around
