94 Chevy K2500 6.5 Multiple Codes Present

So got looking at my PMD harness and it's a Delphi brand. Did the tests on the crank position sensor and optical sensor and both passed. The Delphi harness with Ebay or flight systems PMD would probably cause a problem right?

Today one of the wires I previously fixed on the wastegate solenoid came out. Fixed them, now just normal code 12. Pulled 36 again this morning before the wire came out. Could this have been the issue??

Yeah I'll know tomorrow morning. Not gonna put any hope out that I did cause I'm sure it'll pop the code again but we will see I guess.

Well just started her up this morning and like I figured, code 36 is back. It's really weird that everytime I fix something, itll go away for several hours or a day then come back.

My truck kept popping codes for the waste gate system. I tried everything, finally I got out one of My dental files, unplugged the harnesses at the back of the engine and procedded to clean every connector back there. It took some time and by laying a 4X4 on top of each battery and a 2X6 on top of those was able to lay down, get more comfortable and get every connector back there clean, bright and shiny clean, then, a real light smear of corrosion preventive and put them back together. That and a new vacuum pump cured the codes on My truck, not another code has popped since then.
Dental files.

Well, I do plan on deleting the vacuum pump and I had thought maybe that was part of the issue. I think someone else told me that could be it too. Thought about doing a turbomaster but is it really worth it for the price or should I make my own? Just scored part of a k47 box and dual thermostat housing for $55 at a local yard. Trying desperately to track down some pmds too. I just find this annoying code 36 to be very odd.

Go to the parts store and get a vacuum guage and pull the live vacuum from where the vac pump plugs into the solenoid, If there is only about five to ten inches of vacuum then, if it were Me, I would just replace the vacuum pump. Easy enough and the fan does not need to be removed to get it out of the hole. toughest part is getting the vacuum hose plugged back into the new pump.

I personally like my turbo master. You Don’t have to replace the pump or hoses and you don’t have to chase leaks every so often and you can get more power from the turbo master then you can from the vacuum pump system. i probably lost a little mpg but gained a little horse power from upping the boost a little. You can basically set the turbo master to the max boost that you want and not have to touch it again.

I just found this searching for something else. Hope it helps you.

Tomorrow I will get a couple of pics of the turbomaster that I home made. I did not have a failed
wg actuator to tear apart so I made a bracket, used a 1/4" battery hold down L bolt and a spring with a couple of washers. I know there is a couple of websites that lists the components needed and even the number on the spring. I might have that part number wrote down, if I can find it. I got the spring from ACE hardware.

OH, I always carry that home made turbo master in the truck too, just in case the vacuum system fails and I can not get it fixed, takes about ten minutes to install the TM.
