Anyway.......... I'll keep that idea out there. I'd honestly rather have the passlock stuff gone. Only problem is you are in Canada and it's going to cost my a plenty to ship it let alone the time it takes for it to get there and come back. Last year I sent my BCM from my 02 to Lyndon about 5 times, it never did get programmed exactly correct and i just kinda gave up sending it when my grandma got sick and actually needed the truck. The options I wanted never did get fully programmed and the BCM sends a signal to the dome relay to fade off and makes a buzzing sound. Urg.
Anyway. I'll see what happens tomorrow, if I can't figure it out I'm thinking I'll see if Bill can do it since he's a 3 hour drive from me (assuming it's not an arm and leg cost) otherwise the truck might be down awhile and I'll send you my PCM.
Yup, I'm on Vancouver Island. If that stretch of water wasn't there, it'd be easy peasy to do.
I'd just load up the 35 footer and head on down for a bit of a Vaca....I could use a week away from "the grinder". Hmm, maybe hunt for some cheap parts too!
If you do end up sending to me, I'd really prefer a spare PCM or you buying the VDF from Lyndon for your year so I can at least give you the best chance of success rather than getting back a fugged up PCM.
Like in the image I posted above (sorry that was another ninja edit

), it's just a simple on/off flag, but you never know what could happen.
I'd hate to be sending you back a paper weight and have you worse off than you are right now.
I'll try flashing my 98 tune into the 99 PCM I have this weekend and see what happens. It should work fine, the 6.5 OBDII PCM's all have the same part number. There's no difference in the hardware for the L65 trucks either (that I know of).
The gotcha with yours is if I flash your PCM with a 98 CAL and your truck (99) won't work with it.....well, paperweight.
Cheers
