pulled the 350 sbc out and am going to drop in a 6.5 from a 95 chevy 1500 with 115k miles on the clock.

I am going out to the pick n pull tomorrow to see what i can see in terms of 6.5 trucks, I need an injector pump lines and a torque converter., as well as the wg actuator from a 6.5 from 92/93' or I'll end up buying my own. I am going to end up buying a rebuild/seal kit and rebuild my pump "these things aren't cheap" I have access to a lathe and mill, and am looking at making sleeves for the fuel pistons in the rotor to make it last a little longer. I am also doing an egr delete. I am not trying to make stupid power here, just reliability, bone stock, I would like to go vacuum less, however, I have vacuum booster and a th400 on the truck with the vacuum kickdown. I am getting out of the military and need this beast to make it all the way across the country. fuel economy would be great, but is not necessary. I need to spend as little as possible and get done quick, so the odds are against me, just like when I did this " www.battleofthebuilds.com "
wish me luck, I'll have some updates soon. I have to wait till wed to get paid and get some more work dfone on the engine. needs cleaned, which I'll accomplish with a can of good ol dollar store oven cleaner, works miracles this stuff for tough grease/oil/sludge used it on an oil pan that was full of parafin sludge and a couple hous later it all came right out.

Any ol' db2 would do the trick, as long as it heathy. A .29 plunger or .31 plunger. Th400s need vacuum to modulator that closely follows throttle position and engine load.. Kick down is electric on a TH400. Best to go TH700R4 with the TV vavle. Use diesel torque converter.

A vacuum pump would work for vacuum power assist brakes, otherwise go hydraboost..

Then fuel system...

What are these 'sleeves' you speak of?

Have any pics of the Scottsdale?

so I need to switch to an electric kickdown, or a mechanical kickdown, where to source one?
I may have just found a db2 from a hummer, with the lines, not trying to break the bank here, so no hydraboost, or 700r4, keep it cheap. I have the lift pump, from the other truck, I may also be able to source a torque converter for real cheap. what I'm talking about, is that the plungers in the rotor tend to wear out the rotor because it is made of alu. and the plungers are steel. I want to hog out the holes a little and sleeve it with a steel sleeve, nearly eliminating this issue. I can make all this for free, because of my unique access to machining equipment for now. I may even be able to make some bigger plungers dia. wise, but not too much, this won't immediately help, except that later I can squeeze more fuel out of the pump. I am also working on a rather clever way of getting fuel and air separated like the air dog without the pricetag. I am also working on making a mech wastegate control to smooth out the boost a little. all free stuff "I have a ton of crap lying around" and I have a small "I mean small" intercooler and piping from an wrx sti to use inline with the turbo, to cool the charge a little.

so when I input the image url it is a jpg, when I hit ok in the image editor for the post it says it is mislabeled as a gif, but it isn't a gif, it wouldn't let me post it unless I manually changed the filetype end to gif, but if I do that it doesn't work. help please.

no pictures

can anyone help me with this? photos are hosted on photobucket, I have been on many forums and I have to say this is the first time I have ever had problems.

Hmm. Not real sure. Might try 'go advanced' click 'insert image' button copy the photobucket link into the list.

Or download them from PB save as jpg then upload as attachment to TTS server/site. Or take the raw file thats on your computer (pic) and upload here as attachment.

let's try this a different way:

good to know, for the record, I'm not used to doing it this way, I was doing it the hard way. Feel like an idiot.

no, it blew a hose at some time or other and coolant went everywhere, no overheating, truck ran gerat when I saw it, no knocking, revved good, could clearly hear the turbo note, and no smoke. there is coolant all over the place, stained some stuff that whitish color I'm in the process of cleaning it.

the older 6.2 had a rod assembly that ran from the pump lever to the tv cable bracket. About any GM trans that uses a TV cable will work with that. I have even seen 200R4s behind them.

Yea and some trucks too. That rod is under the intake so be prepared for that. It has the elongated slot on the pump end and the tab for a regular tv cable on the other.

part number, maybe it can be ordered???
I have some more pictures, I finished wrapping both exhaust manifolds, and the turbo dump, the turbo exhaust housing is another animal entirely I need the strength of zeus to remove those 1/2 bolts in the housing from the center section, so I can clean/paint/wrap it the compressor side was easy. I have the original wiring harness, however, I wonder just how much of it I need? I am not going to run a ds4, instead I'm running a db2 with no obd computer at all, what do I not need, sos I can just cut the rest out and make it overall less confusing. I know about the lift pump, fuel shutoff, and glow plugs, and starter, but basically that is all I need right, I pulled the whole fuse box out of the 95'. I'll make someone a sweet deal on my ds4 and the rest of the wiring harness. "hint hint"

Well I went googling but found nothing. Maybe some one will chime in with it. I will look in the shop tomorrow and see if I can find one for a pic.
