I dismantled that bad injector. There is no shims within, that I could see or find. It does appear that the ends of the spring have been ground on. That must be how the reman sets the pressure down if they think they are too high.
The injectors were reman from Orielys. Installed 8/5/2017 and has about 20,000 miles on them.

Mine are @ 2500 now, I plan to have another set @2800.

I had to go to Oriellys and check. The ones I got were Bosch. $53.99 or some such each, and I had to turn in the cores.
I also see that there is Standard Motors injectors and AC/Delco.
Just not sure what to do.

Does Your injectors have any leakdown before they pop ?

higher pop pressures especially when you get as high as chris is using need a touch more timing advance to compensate for the delayed pop

This is one that I was able to borrow from My previous employer. The shop super told Me, You were probably the last one to use it. that would have been before 09.

Got My son over to take some videos. Did the left bank units and called it quits. The injectors from the right side were leaking and popping the same as these.

I think I got them all in proper order.
I’m not sure how to proceed on the injectors.
If I get another set from a parts store, they will get tested before I return my core injectors.

I have all the shims and sealing washers to rebuild or balance injectors. If you need a set done let me know.

For turbo applications I set them to 1900psi. If you have a tuned DS4 or built DB2 I recommend higher pop pressure. When you increase fueling it advances the start if injecton and increasing the duration. By raising pop pressure you can delay the start of injection and bring the duration back into spec.

Yup, I checked. Been looking around.
I see QS tuning adds their balanced set of 8 for about $435.00, $100.00 core refunded when they get the old set.

I just keep wondering how much those original specs differ based on the new viscosity people deal with. I know we had noticeable differences from the different fuels we played with.

I been running FREE new reman BWD injectors since 3 of 2017.
I found my parts receipt, Oriellys had gave me credit back for the new injectors plus the core charge. Guess I cant try to collect warranty on that.
And so, it comes down to the question to reman my injectors or buy the balanced units from QuadStar Tuning.
Leroy does have sets of injectors, I emailed him, his website says out of stock, so I emailed him back to see if his injectors are balanced.
Waiting on a reply from Rockabillyrat too.
