4L80E Transmission Temp Sensor

I'm getting a DTC for transmission temperature sensor voltage too high, along with very premature torque convertor lockup. Like, it locks up the instant it shifts into second (at too low an RPM), and stays locked until it goes back into first.
Where is the temp sensor (in the pan, I know), and where the heck do I purchase a new one?

It's the truck in my sig line. The transmission has the modern style plug and harness.

I think it's part of the wiring harness in the pan .

Not when it throws a code while I can easily hold my hand on the pan. Pee warm maybe.

My next idea is to measure the pins on the connector cold, then warm when it begins acting up. Maybe I can juke the computer with a resistor.

before pulling the pan on the trans, probe it at the trans connector, both on the trans to check the ohms of the sensor, and on the truck side to make sure the harness isn't an issue.

That is the exact information I was looking for. Confirms my suspicion that the TFT is faulty. Thanks. Any idea where I can buy one? My google-fu must be weak, as I can't seem to find one anywhere. I can buy a NTC with that curve from Digi-Key or whatever, but it won't be sealed or have the right plug on it.

It has a new harness in it already. That sensor isn't available ala carte? I need to find the wiring diagram. I think I'm just going to bypass the sensor with a resistor and call it a day.

if you can find the hummer or GM part number for that sensor, that will possibly help locate a sensor. when did this issue start? since you have a new harness, that doesn't mean that during the install a wire got smashed or even faulty "new" parts. there are a lot of parts made in china that are junk even when sourcing from dealers like GM parts. the quality has gone to since covid!

Found some... Just some availability options if you need to replace the sensor. personally I would go for Summit or Jegs over amazon or RA.
