4l80e/6.5 NA limp mode??

Door for HVAC I don't understand what that is? And as far as I know and can see there is no egr or epr on the van. I does have a CDR valve on the passenger side intake manifold
 
The doors that move to change the function for defrost, floor, etc. Alot of older vehicles used vacuum to control them.
 
Maybe a pic of the AC heater control head? This is where you turn up the fan for the cab heater or hot/cold. I doubt it uses it though.

What the cruise control unit look like? Follow the other throttle cable off the IP pump. It's a black box or a round can? Pic?

At this point I can't see why you even have a vac pump on the engine at all. Later you should remove it as they like to lock up and burn the belt off. If you are not using it...
 
And how about some pics of the entire van? We don't see em often. Don't worry about Ugly as we got your back there.
 
Still air force blue haha I'll get y'all a pic of the dash and cruise control(if it has it) tomorrow I was told the vacuum pump is to actuate the AC which on this model was controlled via vacuum signal.

G vans still used vacuum hvac controls. You can always ditch the engine driven pump and use an electric vacuum pump like FORD & DODGE did later on.

And the standalone controller talked about a few posts ago was not a factory controller, but one of the aftermarket DIY kits from megasquirt. You had to build a simulator for them to test them before you tried them on an engine to make sure you built it correctly.

So you have to build it and send it back for them to test out before you can put it on a rig? I'm going to poke around a few scrap yards today and see if I can't find a Y Vin tcm laying around. No, you built a simulator which simulated the engine, and you tested it yourself. It was a TRUE DIY kit where it came in a box, you had to assemble it, then test it, and program it yourself. Today we have arduino's and such that have almost as much computing power as those early megasquirt kits, and they cost a fraction the price.
