1996 Silverado 6.5 Duramax swap

Is there a way to convert it to a low resolution video, in the I phone ?
If not, You might be able to edit out part of it to get the file size smaller.
I have the Utube app on My Iphone, I just load videos straight to that, they then can be linked into here.
Ohh ok I'll look and try to figure it out.

Yes! I love that website. There is a guy out here that will sell you the whole truck or just the frame or what ever you want if your interested.

Well ya sure don’t baby that brown one off road! Nice.

Love the Powerwagon. 1948 was the first one I ever saw on the side of the road rusting away slowly. I was not 10 yet and tried so hard to get my Dad to go back and try to buy it. Especially since he said it’s not even worth dragging home and the guy would probably pay us to take it out of his field. Guess his description of how bad it was kinda backfired on him. If you guys think I talk a lot now, imagine the next 2 1/2 days of
that trip-I wouldn’t shut up about it.

Yup, so ugly they are beautiful- the way I describe them and my Hummer.

Did you ever see it again? It's really tough finding the 40s era in decent condition and not pay more then 5k with a bed. I met this guy out at hammers last year (pic was a screen shot not from hammers) and talked with him for quite a while about his. Daystar built it and it was first featured in dirt every day in Alaska. This is a beautiful rig that I'd give a nut for haha. The third pic is more along the lines of what I'm building. I have 90% of the parts for it just need to start to actually build it. Trying to concentrate on finishing the diesel before I do. image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

It was long gone by time I went back at 13 years old.
Keep in mind I'm half way through my 40’s now.

He said a old military restoration guy bought it for parts. I still never drove one- only seen a couple driving around. Think that’s one of the fish that I am not meant to land. That’s ok, cuz I would hate to drive one and be disappointed with the dream vs reality and too many other unfinished projects. haha.

Oh ya I completely understand that!! When I saw mine for sale for only 800'insaid screw it and hopped on it! Then I kinda did the same thing again about 2 months ago. I love the old Sea Ray boats and found one in great shape with a popped rod for a great price.... So I bought it haha now I have 2 projects just waiting.

I have 3 videos I'm trying to upload of the diesel but I can't figure out how to make the files smaller. I think I will have to do what MrMarty said and upload it somewhere else and just post a link.

That Sea Ray looks like a mighty nice boat. I do not blame You for jumping on that.
I call them POORjects, nice projects just too poor to do what is necessary to complete them.
78 MGB, needs engine gone through, 59 W100 needs taken apart and painted, old split bumper MG roadster needs a lot and am going to plant a 3.8 Buick Grand National engine into it. Engine and five speed trans setting here, 78 Chevy K20 in need of some minor repairs 400 V8 and TH400 trans.
My son one day started talking about all the vehicles I have setting around, I told Him that someday I would be working on them, He asked Me, how many of those someday projects do You need ? LOL

I've noticed that too the younger generation doesn't seem to like projects. They are more of an instant gratification type people I guess

IMG_0683.JPG IMG_0682.JPG I'm on call this week so I haven't made any progress on the trick all. But I do have a question for you all. I've been going back and forth on cab clearance lights. I love they way they look. My 94 dually had them and I updated them to the LED But can't decide if they will look funky with the '15 mirrors. I found a thread and it has detailed measurements so it's definitely doable... Any input??

I replace the Dodge cab lights every few years due to water leaks. Not worth the trouble.

That sucks. Indidnt think about leaks at all I'm glad you. Brought that up! My dually never leaked befopre and those gaskets were pretty old. Anyone else have leak issues on theirs?

I used to have a 93 that had 1 leaky clearance light. It was annoying to do the headliner to fix, but was less than $20 and never leaked again.

I like the looks of them, and don’t think cab and mirror lights are too much. It could be a pain, but making your truck exactly how you like it is crucial- or you will always look at it with disappointment.

The cab lights on Mine have not yet leaked, 240,000 miles.
I guess if they ever would, I`ll seal them up with butyl tape. That stuff never wears out.

Thanks for the input guys! Does anyone know of a pre-built harness out there somewhere?im not too great with wiring but I can build that. Just being lazy if it's cheap enough to buy it I will
