When i'm done or almost done with rebuilding the engine i may be interested. Question though does 4L80E have an overdrive?
And no i didn't know about the adapter, thanks.
94 K2500 6.5 TD Silverado.
The engine came with that piece of metal that holds the pin in place.
I'm thinking NV4500 depending on $ availability. The 4L85E the truck came with still runs great so it would do (i think) if necessary with an aftermarket controller until the dollar tree provides.
I just got a 94 B6 :hurray: that i want to put in my Suburban. It's all torn down but he price was right. it came with new pistons and some bearings. Visually it appears pretty good. Seems like somebody wanted to rebuild it then just gave up.
Is there anything particular i should be looking...
I got a much better idea about it now.

Are you saying i could use the electronically controlled injection pump? Actually i got a spare pump but since they don't have the best reputation i thought the mechanical one would be an upgrade.
I cannot help but wonder if the older 6.2 diesel engine with V-belts could fit a 94 Suburban that originally comes with the 6.5 TD? I came across a fairly inexpensive army 6.2 and that got me going. Does anybody know? Thanks
I put the Dorman made in China idler in and it seems to be alright. i didn't notice any flexing even tough, since the compressor mounts only with three screws and the idler with two, i had to instal it kind of parallel to how the belt goes around it. I didn't had a chance to run it yet since...
Did you get it to work?
I recently bought a 94 Chevy Suburban K2500 6.5 TD. The ac compressor froze and the shop i took it to wants now half of what i paid for the truck to fix it. I plan on swapping for a Cummins later this winter so why waste the $. Haven't been able to find the bypass...
