As many know by now the Cat "D" series is launched and making its way to dealer lots.
This series of machine is not to be confused with the previous "D" series that consisted of the 299D, 299D XHP, 272D and 272D XHP. Those machines have been updated to the new D series as well.
As a Cat owner...
Well finally after many years, we have our first Fendt. The cost kept dad a little hesitant to go the Fendt route up front and with the Massey's getting the same transmission we tried that route. That route turned out to be an absolute disaster with the 8600 series letting us down numerous...

Recently I decided to switch us to a different oil company. We had been using a small oil company before that sold cheap house blend oils. Their motto was cheap and simple. It worked, and probably works...

The Cat salesman started putting the pressure on us last summer about buying one of their skid steers. Us as well as others in the area never even considered them, always figured they were too expensive and the dealer was on the other side of town. Most farmers just bought what the tractor...

Ooooo the water pump. Everybody either bitches about it, or is scared of it. And those who let fear get the best of them will sometimes get raped by people charging hundreds and even thousands to replace it. Why does everybody bitch or charge a lot of money? Because one of the mounting nuts for...

By now everybody has heard of DEF/Urea. Its no magical potion, just 32% Urea and the rest is water. While the fluid isnt fancy, it does degrade overtime and the SCR systems are extremely picky about the DEF quality. If its not good enough, your not going anywhere.
DEF has a typical shelf...

Fendt CVT Transmission (35mph top speed)
e3 Technology (SCR) Yes we have to put DEF/Urea in it.

Its a 1976 W900A With a 335 Cummins, Eaton 10spd reyco suspension and a lot of ugliness.
It needs tons of TLC, but its what you get when you pay salvage price for it.
I have a lot of plans and big dreams but most likely I will stretch it...
