OK, so I had a diesel Mech look at it, and he said it was a lifter. so now I've got more work ahead of me. Then..... I went to start it tonight, and The glow plug light won't come on!!!! No wiring was touched yesterday, the mechanic only listened to it, and now the plugs won't heat up. I tried...
yes, could not get to three injectors on pass side. no difference. drove it a little. It only ticks under load. ticks on accel, stops ticking on decel. barely ticks on idle. and by accel, I mean even very light acceleration.
I replaced the in jector lines, cuz i was told that there is a lining inside them that will crack and can clog injectors, and when I was removing the old lines from the injectors a couple twisted a bit while trying to loosen them.
ok, sorry, i've been at work for a few days and haven't had a chance to do anything with the truck. I got the metal fuel lines from ssdiesel supply also. $189. Ok, so I'll try cracking the fuel lines at the injectors, and see if that works.
ok, so i didn't pop test, and is non detergent just standard 30w? I'll try anything. It keeps white smoking ALOT till it warms up. I thought I bought all the stuff to keep this from happening? Should I drive it with the tick and see if it comes out? Can I pop the lines off and maybe purge out...
Searched and searched, tore the loom apart, and found that the wires were shoved down by the tranny, so now it started right up!!! Thanks Everyone for such perfect diagnosis. amazing you can pin it down like that. but.... after I started it, I idled it a lil while (bout 10min) then drove it, and...
Are you sure they were ALL there in '94? Cuz between 3 of us we cannot find any more ground wires there, and the strap was previously hooked to the engine/tranny bolt, before I ever touched it. from what I read the pics were from a '98?
Ok, so today I pulled the intake, checked the grounds, and modified the ground to the ip so that there was for sure good ground there and cleaned the ground on the chassis. checked for pinched anything, and put a light on the positive side of what I think is the fuel solenoid? red n blk wire...
I recently replaced a head gasket on my 94, and while I was at it, I replaced the metal lines, injectors, and glow plugs, glow plug relay, 97 cooling upgrade, made a cable to remote mount the pmd to firewall with large heat sink and cpu cooling fan on it, and when I tried to start it, it will...
