No fuel, no glow plug light, after head gasket replace

ok, so i didn't pop test, and is non detergent just standard 30w? I'll try anything. It keeps white smoking ALOT till it warms up. I thought I bought all the stuff to keep this from happening? Should I drive it with the tick and see if it comes out? Can I pop the lines off and maybe purge out all the air? just trying to figure out where to go from here. Thanks for everyones help!

If you are comfortable doing so............... I would start the engeine let it warm up and start with one injector and loosen the nut a little until some fuel comes out just becarefull not to loosen it too far. Good idea to wear safety glasses just in case, and be carefull. not hard just have to watch pressurized fuel is dangerous.

Don't think it would have traped air in the hard lines after its been running, but if the injector/s are ticking you can listen as you losen the line to identify the ticking one/s

ok, sorry, i've been at work for a few days and haven't had a chance to do anything with the truck. I got the metal fuel lines from ssdiesel supply also. $189. Ok, so I'll try cracking the fuel lines at the injectors, and see if that works.

I replaced the in jector lines, cuz i was told that there is a lining inside them that will crack and can clog injectors, and when I was removing the old lines from the injectors a couple twisted a bit while trying to loosen them.

Just currius about the advice given here.....
I just put reman injectors in mine, and think that loosening the nuts on three of the injectors on the pass side will be totally impossible with the turbo and heat shields in place, and engine running. ?? The one in the back is tight to get too even whith turbo and other stuff off I thought :)

yes, could not get to three injectors on pass side. no difference. drove it a little. It only ticks under load. ticks on accel, stops ticking on decel. barely ticks on idle. and by accel, I mean even very light acceleration.

I almost hate to ask, but might I be listening to a "light Knock" instead of a tick? Should I be pulling the pan instead of the head?

I've never had to listen for a injector tick, but baybe a mechanics stethoscope would help. They are cheap enough. Most auto parts carry them.
I would also temp remove the serp belt just to remove the possibility of harmonic balancer or other belt driven parts.

OK, so I had a diesel Mech look at it, and he said it was a lifter. so now I've got more work ahead of me. Then..... I went to start it tonight, and The glow plug light won't come on!!!! No wiring was touched yesterday, the mechanic only listened to it, and now the plugs won't heat up. I tried unplugging the 3 temp sensors that I could see on the engine, but no difference. Then I wiggled the grey plug on the relay, ...nuthin. I've checked the fuse and all connections I could see, both on the relay and glow plugs. I'm very frustrated with my new 6.5.

The outside temp dropped tonight by 15-20 degrees. (very cold now, and it was very nice out yesterday.

NO GP light?..........What about "STS" light?.........Check the 3 grounds on the rear pass side intake stud (1) and the stud the tranny dipstck is attached too (2)......You'll find the other 2 grounds there........3 all together.
