I've been all over the web looking at what it took to level the 06+ tow mirrors and figured since it was a balmy 32 Degrees outside I would attempt the mod and share the steps in case anyone else was interested.

Thanks Ferm, I had read somewhere that bcm control on the newer years but based on the way our trucks were acting I thought maybe the 05-06 years were the same. My father purchased the led capatable flasher for his truck and it ended up not working out for him. Could have been faulty i guess...
I'm working on converting every light on the truck to LED, just like my old 1997 however change in the years changes what needs to be done to correct some of the issues presented with LED's. On the 97 buying an led compatible flasher fixed hyperflash, on the 06, not so easy. I have read that...
I had my 97 completely converted to LED including dash, door lock/window buttons, 4wd actuator lights on the floor, everything. I loved it. I had red led in everything. The only downside to having leds in the dash being they don't dim. But for me with the red they were never an issue day or...
I looked through everything I had and must have deleted it. I ran my pressure sensor the way you did in your second picture Paul with the fuel flowing straight through and the sensor at the 90 degree to fuel flow. Should have documented all my projects better.
I think you should notice more of a difference having the better LP, especially once you get the HX on there. I did the FTB with the stock LP and the truck seemed more responsive but I watched fuel pressure dive once I got on the throttle.
This is what my stock LP pressure looked like just...
If I recall correctly Bill charged me $100-$150 to retune when I dropped my hx-35 in. You are going to want more fuel to spool up the turbo once its in.
Any progress is progress right? I hate to say this, and correct me if I'm wrong, but due to your lift wont you need to lengthen the driver side of the crossover to fit around the front driveshaft? I know on mine I had to but it was the bigger lift.
With my 97 running the hx-35 @ 18psi and the custom tune from Heath that Paveltolz coined the "SMOKER" I had the same, no more grunt after 50% throttle, that your talking about. Granted that was on the stock lift pump, and after I did the FTB mod and installed the pressure gauge I found the...
I dont want to go all out with mine either... Well who am I kidding of course I do. My old rig was a testament to that. But, that being said I am trying to dial it back and make myself a good long lasting truck with decent power. From what I have read about the 4094 they have a bigger inducer...
Thanks Ferm, I will check into that and update here. I have read on other sites that the Garret 4094 stage one will support up to 500 horse and if you decide you want more there is a stage 2 that supports more. Not trying to go too crazy here  just to build everything to support what I...
There is a local shop here in SLC that will take the stock turbo from our rigs and mill it out to the same spec as the 4094 and put a cast 6 blade inducer wheel in. This costs around $400 compared the upgraded turbo being around $2100. You can of course opt for a different inducer and cost goes...
I was always jealous of all your shiny under hood parts and how clean you kept everything.
Any ideas on where you plan to mount the filters yet? There should be room on the passenger side frame rail by the tranny cooler inlet-oulet line for those right? Do you plan on leaving the aux cooler in...
I will for sure come out and catch up, and bring some ammo to spend. As for the new houses, sorry for your lack of view, its been a while but I still think I know where to find you;)
