I ordered two pair of the Phillips HIR1 9011...since both hi and low on the denali housing is 9005's... should be here Wednesday
will use Ferman's link to trim them...
Note: IIRC FErman said Wagner makes a 9011...but from all the reading I've done is, it won't be a true HIR bulb... Phillips...
having a little problems with another balast or bulb...
so my denali projectors use 9005 high beams for both hi and low beams...

I also need to reground and check my relays on my KD brightliht harness...reason I stopped using it, it was burning out...
I'm not there to see the rust washing away(flakes?) but PB blaster is rust colored, so you may just be seeing the PB...unless you are seeing particles...
I'm also unsure of Dmax's glowplugs not swelling...
I had my glowplug tip break/corrode or burn off and get caught in a valve seat, burning...
Apple makes a lightning to 30 pin adapter...but unsure if the IOS is compatible...do you have the model # so I can research if it would be compatible with the apple adapter?

These are pretty bright...I can see off the sides of all the roads I drive even when clear...I use mine a lot, but not 50-60%...maybe 30-40% of the time...I find the yellow better for rain as well as fog...may not be optimal for clear, but as stated these are plenty bright enough to make up for...
I bought yellow HID's from James a while back for the fogs...they are bright and I have had no issues whatsoever with them( maybe because they don't get used as often?)
I still run HID's in the OEM Denali projectors, but I've replaced bulbs and ballasts a couple times...

the only problem I had with mine was my installer did not use red loctite on the pitman arm heim joint threads...the nut backed off and the threads wore off from pulling and pushing through the brace...I just got my replacement heim joint from Cognito. $45+ s&h...

Why not find a set of steel spacedrs for the rear, that way you can rotate tires and wheels wherever you want...they also correct the GM f' up of having the front trac width wider than the back on 4x4s...truck will handel much better with a 1-1/2 - 2" spacer...
