Im dropping the new block off at machine shop tonight so im sure i will pick up the junk heads and post some pics. The heads i got with navistar block have a date stamp of 99 so i would guess they are just gm heads

Ya shop wasn't really sure what would cause it. I also found 3 new main web cracks in the old 599, thinking its headed for scrap pile. I did find a sweet deal on a amg optimizer block with a casting of 02 but that will be in a different thread

well got everything torn down and took heads to machine shop he checked them and they are both cracked around the spring seat area, seems like a odd area to crack. these are like 6 year old clear water cylinder head new casting
ohh boy that might be a bit out of my budget but man they would be nice to have or even a p400 but ill just have to see what I find when I get it out hopefully before the week is over
ok so a friend had a set of mirrors that where wrong for his truck but where the right ones for suburban put them on the other day but they do not do the position memory like the factory ones do. well they move but not like they should they just move every time the key is put in does anyone...
Good idea never thought of that, id really like to put the he351ve on that i have orv maybe if i can swing it an att but budget dosent look good for that

Who sells them and how expensive, found a guy in iowa with a new set made by serta i think that's what he said a company out of canada for 600. He's an engine builder that used to do alot of 6.5 so had a set on hand but dosent do many any more selling the stock

For almost a year truck has been slowly loosing coolant couldnt find any leaks and never saw any smoke. Figured i had a small crack into one of the valves as the loss was very slow and never had any signs of water in oil. And havent been using truck much so was bidding my time
