For almost a year truck has been slowly loosing coolant couldnt find any leaks and never saw any smoke. Figured i had a small crack into one of the valves as the loss was very slow and never had any signs of water in oil. And havent been using truck much so was bidding my time

A couple weeks ago went to pick up some furniture for my daughter and noticed a heavy white smoke and my coolant loss has gotten far worse, last night i pulled the dip stick and found water on it. Opened fill neck to find slime.

Going to be pulling the engine soon to try and figure out what's going on hopeing for just a cracked head.

Will be posting updates as i go

Who sells them and how expensive, found a guy in iowa with a new set made by serta i think that's what he said a company out of canada for 600. He's an engine builder that used to do alot of 6.5 so had a set on hand but dosent do many any more selling the stock

Pull the t-stat crossover and the belt(s). Start the engine and see what side or both gets bubbles. This will help you locate the trouble area. Point of fact a cracked cylinder is very hard to find vs. a blown head gasket or cracked head.

I would recommend overhauling the turbo as it's bearings are the hardest hit by coolant in oil.

Good idea never thought of that, id really like to put the he351ve on that i have orv maybe if i can swing it an att but budget dosent look good for that

ohh boy that might be a bit out of my budget but man they would be nice to have or even a p400 but ill just have to see what I find when I get it out hopefully before the week is over

well got everything torn down and took heads to machine shop he checked them and they are both cracked around the spring seat area, seems like a odd area to crack. these are like 6 year old clear water cylinder head new casting

That IS a weird failure and location. Too much spring pressure under compression from cam lift or possibly spring mechanically binding from too much cam lift come to mind first.
