    DB2 Conversion questions

Correct. The earlier 6.5 style (and 6.2) would place the upper hose outlet right where the a/c compressor is mounted on the '96+ trucks. -Nick

    DB2 Conversion questions

That would be awesome thank you! Most of the crossovers I have seen, have a raised part number on them somewhere. Not sure if they are in a camera accessible location or not however... Thank you! Nick

    DB2 Conversion questions

23500374 was the single stat crossover used on 6.5 trucks up until '95. To the best of my knowledge the early '96 trucks had a 1/2 year exclusive design that was near identical to the dual housing, just less one thermostat. Thus giving me more room for the throttle bracket on the DB2 and...

    DB2 Conversion questions

Hi guys, a few weeks ago I had posted about my DS4 on the way out. Well it finally bit the dust to the point of not being able to drive it. Following some much needed peer pressure from the responses, I am going the DB2 conversion route. I have started ordering all the parts needed for the job...

Need some opinions on IP diagnosis

Thank you for the above link. I will have some bedtime reading material now. Looks as though the automatic transmission would be the most troublesome with the conversion, which I obviously have no issues there. I did a little more digging on my current problem today. Need to have the truck...

Need some opinions on IP diagnosis

In all seriousness, I would love to do this. However, it was always my understanding this could only be done on OBD-I trucks correct? If I can do this with my '96 OBD-II, then there isn't even a discussion. That is the route I'm going to go. I have the NV4500 in this truck, so that's already one...

Need some opinions on IP diagnosis

Thanks for the replies guys. I do have a spare PMD that I will try. I think you are onto a good idea to have a full spare setup ready to go. I only have one other DS4 truck left, but it would still be handy only if used once! Grounds were all cleaned not long ago, but ill re-check the usual...

Need some opinions on IP diagnosis

Hi guys, long time since I've been on any of the forums but when I hit a road block this is where I find the best information. I'm about ready to replace the injection pump on my '96, but just wanted to make sure I've exhausted all ideas. At this point I already have myself prepared mentally...

    FASS DDRP/DRP Lift Pump Install

Just some notes for anyone else reading this thread considering a FASS pump. Spoke with tech support once yesterday and again this morning with some questions in regards to the different pump models. I cannot tell you how helpful they were answering my questions, even based on using them for...

    FASS DDRP/DRP Lift Pump Install

First off, thank you for the great write up and pictures. I had been looking for info on a 6.5 FASS install, and of course the best info could be found here... Was there any other reasons to choose the DRP-02 model? I have been back and forth between the DRP and the RPDMAX pump which is...

    FRC10 or Raptor

Ive had the FRB5 on two trucks and noticed the same low pressures that was mentioned above. My stock AcDelco pump actually read higher pressures. I have sinced switched to the FRC-10 over a year and 8K miles ago. Pressures are excellent, but I am already starting to see the intermitent...

    Meet my truck

To the original poster: Truck looks awesome! Love the extra cab with the long bed. Glad to see another member from CT. We are few and far between. Dosent help that the rust is eating these trucks right off the road up here... Where abouts in CT are you? John Deere dealer..im thinking Stanton...

    front doors

Ive noticed that the 88-94 doors are indeed different from the 95-00' doors in regards to the interior side. The interior pannels are obviously different, but even the interior door shell is different as well. Meaning, one can not mount 95-00' interior pannels on a door from 88-94.

    front doors

To the best of my knowlage. Yes. I have doors from all the above, and by eye they all look the same. Hinges, latches, etc. -Nick

    Thinking of selling my truck

Drive a Dmax, then tow with one. Difference is night and day. Pulling power, stopping power, handling, etc. The earlier LB7 motors are light years ahead for starters, even with their injector flaws. Coupled with the Allison trans it dosent get much better in my opinion. However I do love the...

For those of you up north......

Thanks. Its a 77' with 42k miles. My great uncle bought it brand new. The rust is starting to attack however. The bed is shot but the cab is salvageable. Im gonna replace the floor boards this summer and repaint the frame. Just need to find a rust free bed somewhere.....:rof: -Nick
