    Under hood light bulb

My incandescent held up well with the heat, but couldn't survive the workbench for more than a few days.

    Under hood light bulb

Thanks. I didn't know LED lights would not do well in that environment.

    Under hood light bulb

The 94 interior is tons brighter than 95. They really went backward with interior lighting with the newer dash.

    Under hood light bulb

I am looking for the bulb itself. 142454 is the part number of the bulb I got from the dealership but I am not sure of the conversion number.

    Under hood light bulb

I learned i need to buy an underhood bulb for my '95 the other day. Because my hood was open I decided to take it out and put it on the bench where I was working. That was evidently the day the bench needed cleaned off by someone so it found it's way to the trash. (Thankfully my new turbo was...

Low oil pressure at hot idle

This might sound elementary, but... Have you tried other oil brands to find the same situation? It's a different animal but I ran Castrol brand oil in a relatively fresh Vortec 350 many moons ago and at idle, the oil pressure would drop to nearly zero when warm. As soon as I kicked the idle...

Torque convertor staying locked up causing stalling?

Thanks @THEFERMANATOR . Do you suspect a mechanical or electrical issue then? Either way, would you suspect the problem is inside the transmission?

Headlights always on/No Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

Copy that, Les. Delayed response but I'll see if I can get this done before going further. Nothing else seems to work. For years, I push the dome light switch a few times and headlights go out. Still no DRL, however.

    Turbo blanket

What is a good choice for a turbo blanket? This came up in a thread @n8in8or posted - tz31847-g3. Still a good choice for a HX35/40? Should I be covering the adapter pipe also out of the back of the turbo, to the downpipe? I don't want to take a chance of melting my hood and there is no...

Torque specs on oil filter adapter bolt?

Well, mine has a crush washer now. If anyone wonders, the split side goes toward the bolt head. This is from referencing the bolt in the adapter from the HMMWV adapter.

Torque convertor staying locked up causing stalling?

Will this problem likely go away with a remanned transmission?

    My new shop

The rat run isn't structural. It is so you have a place to walk or stand if ever needed for when you might need to be above the ceiling.

    My new shop

Do you have any rat runs above the ceiling? They make it easier for doing any sort of maintenance or for when you run lights, etc. I see you have your electric ran up there, but just in case. You can lay a 2x6 or 2x8 on its side between the trusses and it gives you a place to walk. Screw...

And once the last screw is in, it won't need painted Nice fixture. Very creative.

Torque specs on oil filter adapter bolt?

Where does the crush washer go? I had my adapter on and off a few times and have no memory of it.

    My new shop

Nice! Will you run a vertical post or two in an area where you can set really heavy things? Near the area where a vise would be for example. ...or get really slick and make up a couple fold down legs that can swing down when needed but are up out of the way otherwise.

    '95 Engine build

Timing gears offer a significantly different sound. This is going to take some getting used to.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I drove it. That's all. First time since about August 2022.
