Sell me a set of your German nozzles for the info... I wish!
They are under precision shims, I got the following part number shim packs. 98055A105, 3088A179, 3088A159, 3088A119
The trouble is even the India nozzles that test good don't last long. This is not just my opinion but one of experts.
I've had Mercedes injectors rebuilt by the "diesel injector guru" and he can't even get quality DN0SD304 nozzles.
Last summer I bought brand new Bosch India complete Mercedes...
Bosch Germany nozzles are long gone. German Monark and Italian Bosio nozzles are no longer made.
General opinion is that Bosch India is hit and miss... many bad ones.
Does anyone know where to get quality nozzles for the 6.2 & 6.5?
I'm desperately looking for a set.
I really would like to find a good set of nozzles for my 6.5 turbo. I've been looking for a year and can only find Bosch India or Chinesium ones. I had bad brand new injectors right out of the box for my old Mercedes OM617, got a set of Bosio's and they are great.
Are quality nozzles available...
Mine acted the same, bad hot start. Changed a lot of parts, did not help. Turns out it was the starter even though the cranking speed sounded fine to the ear. Now hot or cold it fires up almost instantly.

Last month I got stranded in a grocery store parking lot, starter went. Van always has been hard to start especially hot, it was the starter all along. Before it finally quit I put in Sears Platinum AGM (880 CCA) and made up double 0 cables. Made no difference in starting.
Because I was stuck...
A couple of thoughts. From what I hear on this forum a 195 thermostat will give a couple, three more mpg's compared to a 180 degree so that's a big consideration at these fuel prices. Also, hayden saying the radiator temp will be 30 degrees cooler that the coolant temp I believe is very...
That is not the wrong number for my application. I have a year 2000 with the spin on fan clutch not the 4 bolt, that number is correct for my 6.5. But part number does not matter, Hayden Severe Duty is what matters here and here is the difference from the standard Hayden or any brand std. duty...
Info from Hayden for my year 6.5 fan clutch;
"HAYDEN Part # 2850 Thermal
Reverse Rotation Severe Duty Thermal Fan Clutch
Engages at about 170° radiator air temperature, (about 30° lower than coolant temperature)."
Are you sure you would want this fan clutch? It will never kick out empty...
I went with a rockauto acdelco fan clutch and the big thing that mattered was the mod to the spring length so it engages earlier. Towing it kicks in when needed just above 200, roars like crazy, brings the needle right down and kicks out. That's towing at 16500Lb combination weight. A fresh fan...
Just my 2 cents about a gear ratio change even though it's not on a 6.5. On my old class c camper with a 440 motor (similar torque to a 6.5 but at higher rpm).... when I went from 4:10 which was useless on the highway but pulled hills with all the cars, to a 3:54 it killed my power. Something...
I have a van too and it's been a pain. Sounds like a glow plug problem. I'd (and I have) put in a set of Bosch Duraterms. On the van it's easy to reach 'em all, doghouse off for the rears, fronts through the wheel wells with the tires off. It's as easy as changing spark plugs. Make sure the...
A year or so ago my black Stanadyne PMD failed and left me stranded, replaced with FS under the bumper, a few months later it surged a lot and ran-away a few times...scary!
Summertime I got a grey Stanadyne from Leroy and been good so far.
My internal tank terne coating evenly failed top bottom & sides. Plugged my filter every 500 miles with rust & terne flakes. Just got a new spectra premium tank from rockauto and it did not fit properly. The original GM tank's welded seam is bent down at a 90 angle the replacement is bent at a...
Sorry to now make you feel nervous.
My 4L80E did the same as yours. I dropped the pan and changed the filter... there was some metal debris in there.
I then flushed the fluid by unscrewing (at the transmission) the outlet line that goes to the transmission cooler and screwing in a short...
Great White, you know the 6.5 well. August 2009 when I bought my year 2000 van, not knowing anything about 6.5's or this forum... a week later I towed 8500 lbs (car trailer w/truck on it) across the country with a bad fan clutch, original 150k mile injectors etc. Fuel filter plugged up 100...
I keep my camper in Rhode Island for the Summer so I got my Platinums in your neighborhood, Sears in Warwick. Regular price was about $189 each but there was a Sears Direct online sale for $139 each, the store honored the sale price. I just had to print out the page to prove, store won't look up...
