What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

And today, hit this milestone! Sure hope to get another 100k out of it. I think if the engine pukes,, having already redone the trans to bullet proof specs, (ok maybe not) I think I'll just take out 10K and do the drop in $8400 ready to rock optomizer and a few goodies, like SS oil lines...

For door adjustments that have no serviceable bushings, use a 7/8ths short impact socket. and put it in the lower door hinge. slightly close the door against the socket wedged in the hinge. Slightly bouncing the door closed will slowly pull the body portion of the hinge backwards a tad, thus...

    right rear brake biting

Well, I'm back on this thread just for closure. My axle seals are still fine, all is dry inside. The problem was self induced as it turns out. As I'm kinda a tight wad when I did new shoes back there, I did Not replace or have drums turned. They really did look fine, and I'm sure others As...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

OH and I took a small piece of 1000 grit wet paper to my headlights,, then buffed them with my rotoary buffer and some compound, then by hand with some polish. That took the yellow age out, and really cleared them up, while I was there I did the all on mod for the high beams.

    Knew it was coming,

UPDATE: How mad is the maddest you've ever been? Well that was me yesterday. I had my suspicions about the updated version of the driveshaft. I order per the vehicle specs,, and NOT of what the part looked like. Cause we all know that web sites will use the same driveshaft pic, for 33...

    Knew it was coming,

I've tried what I have to try with,,, But was worried about breaking something on either end that is way more expensive to replace. Also thought I'd put something on the new cv boots, to protect them, or make up water repellent for a small while anyway. Parts to arrive Fri eve,, then off to...
