1978 Nomad Trailer Restoration/Project: 88GMCtruck is at it again.

David fails to mention that it was I who crawled up on top of the rusted out rickety old F*rd and removed the vent for him. Also got him the $20 price. Perks of working in the afore mentioned junkyard. :D

88GMCtruck's never ending 88 GMC build thread

Damn I can't wait to see/hear/light it up in person. I've only seen/heard a video so far and it is freakin' awesome.

    Air Hammers

I use the Heavy Duty Blue-Point Air Hammer on a weekly basis and it is amazing. I use either the chisel bit, pointed bit,, blunt - hammer bit, or pickle fork bit on any number of automotive tasks and I have no complaints yet. Just a warning: WEAR HEARING PROTECTION!!!

LED Clearnce lights on the 1994 K3500

GM actually made LED cab clearance lights for 88-02 trucks. They're an OPTION on Medium Duty cabs. GM wants $$$$$$ for the bulbs (only thing different).

Had enough of these thief friendly door handles!

How about Kodiak Handles? They are a bit more stout. You keep calling it cast aluminum...I thought it was just a cast pot metal, not even worthy of being called aluminum. There is also: THESE I have no personal experience with them, perhaps someone here does.

What is the brand name on the oil filter in your truck(s) right now?

AC Delco: Oil, Air, Fuel, Crankcase Breather, PCV Valve on my '83.

    Not your average Dually project....

Suicide door kit is here and you haven't even showed me? Quick update, I'll let Brandon fill in the details: A.I.R.-less exhaust manifolds installed, 4L80-E bolted to engine and the pair are slid into place.

    88GMCtruck's 99 6.5L Towpig slow build.

Once you got the coolant topped off did you have to add anymore? (txt me a reply too, limited internets)

    88GMCtruck's 99 6.5L Towpig slow build.

Oh you have no idea...that trailer is his dad's baby. I am honestly surprised there isn't a set of forms to sign when you borrow it. :-P

Nice looking tanker. Just noticed, are those front and rear tires on that Agco the same age? If so that things scrubs the fronts HARD!!!

Coolant leak is back, Plus oil sludge! 88GMCtruck's 1999 K2500 L65 = more problems.

x2 It was an awesome learning experience, just really poor timing for David. I've always loved working on projects, be they on the farm, in the shop, or in the driveway. I haven'd banged up my knuckles this good in a while, I really had a lot of fun. Though, torquing the heads down in 3...

Nevermind, figured that out...now I need to figure something else out. Driver's side of the water pump, outer-most bolt has a stud on the end of it, what bolts to that?

I know I read on here, can't find it now...but what is the best order to put the injector lines on? I marked what pairs they were, but not the order I took them off in.
