The deal with Evans is that it is lifetime coolant that raises the boiling point so far that hot spots/steam pockets just do not occur. It's heat transfer is not as good as say water or even 50/50 but that is considered a non issue with the elevated boiling point 375 DEG F. Of course this...
With the impending summer season and hence of course the usual flurry or engine cooling threads just wondering if anyone has any experience input on Evans Coolant?
Gotta love the cycle of things, with winter comes 'my truck won't start' and summer 'my truck overheats'. :D

Anyone know where i can easily get a replacement block heater cord? Is there a specific name/designation for our style connector, or do you just specify the truck?

Yep I run one, makes for quicker warm ups and beats the hell out of a piece of cardboard. Mine is made by FIA and is custom fit. Whats neat is you also get a summer front fly screen which works real well at keeping the bugs out of the cooling stack.

KOKO Routine as follows:
engine above 170 DEG F
Clear all DTC's
Turn Ignition On with engine OFF
Hold Down Throttle for minimum 45 Secs
Turn OFF Ignition for a minimum 30 Secs
Start engine when temp gets above 170 DEG F and RPM below 1500 a new TDCO will be learnt. You can tell TDCO is...
Tim you mean voltage in your case. AGM or VRLA batteries have a higher acceptance rate you can sock more amps to them but if the voltage is wrong, then like using an automotive alt. or incorrect charger not suitable for AGM then you'll have issues.
Your point is still good though regular...
The reality is that if you plan on using a full 2 - 3kw on an inverter install on a truck then you will have to figure on using the Alternator as well and not just batteries alone. For that you would need to go down the route of installing a true hot rated alternator and not a high output...
Well as per my other thread on loosing fluid from the cap my 97 has it. I read somewhere I thought that 96 and on has it which would correlate with the move to OBDII.

Back in the day before the inverter explosion there used to motor generator sets available, the down side to an MG set is that it is using current tom turn the motor no matter what the AC demand. As already suggested nowadays Inverters are a viable option and intelligent as to power...
I thinking that the EVO allowing full fluid flow at high speeds would not cause it to evacuate fluid. Reading the manual it states that in a fault condition the EVO is instructed to go full flow for maximum steering whatever the wheel speed. So I am continuing to think that a faulty EVO system...
So today start truck and let it idle for 10 mins. Hop in press brake and have solid pedal couple more presses and correct feel comes back. Pop hood and find fluid level low and evidence that fluid was pushed out of the cap and there was some fresh oil leaked out of one of the capped ports of...
'Its a Bill Heath, Max E Tork with a few tweeks'
Post 52 Raceday states the following. I got the impression that these are tweaks that Raceday requested. What this actually means in regards to a HX tune well......... I guess ask Bill or Raceday.

Sorry would love to help out with my scantool/tools etc but I am currently visiting family in the UK and will not return until the 22nd. If by then you are still having issues I'll see what I can do.
Look up DaveNY on the DieselPage he might be able to help you out, he is in Sayville...
Oil is filtered post cooler, standard pathway is from the pump, to the oil cooler, to the filter and then to the engine galleries . When you plug the oil cooler ports you are effectively relying on the oil cooler bypass valve to still send oil to the filter and then to the engine. IIRC there...
Further to Warwagons post, would it be possible to operate via the ECM module if one still has it is using a tune that operates via vacuum?
