Thanks for the pic's Jrs their helpfull I'll see if I can locate these place's you tied in. I just got my extension hose from PMD, I thought this hose was suppose to be about 6'' long ,this sucker I got is 24''. I don't know if he made a mistake or I'm mistaken about the length of the hose.

Yeah I'm going to do the relay mod when I get the part's ,Buddy gave me the schematic on it. I thought I saw a AC Delco OPS on Rock Auto but I was on there last night and couldn't find one.
Mark
This OPS doesn't look very old but the only thing I can find on it is the number 68 so it's hard telling what it is.
I'm going to put together an order and get it from Rock Auto, Autozone can't even find it or the lift pump on their computor so they can order it.

I just took the intake off my 95 to change some fuel lines and do the FTB mod and there had to be a 1/1/2'' of dirt in the valley. This truck must have spent alot of time on dirt road's in Virginia, it was a state or county before I owned it.
Mark
No I was taking it out Racer so I could gain a little more room so I can change all the rubber fuel lines and it look's like they were needing it the ends were starting to crack they were GM hose's probably original .I'm going to install the OPS hose mod when it goes back together making it...
As a matter of fact D2 the socket was just deep enough and the OPS survived intact it didn't take much to get it to fit. I'm going to put the extension hose on it so it will be easy to get to when it goes bad.
Mark
This OPS must be a metric, like I said before 1&1/16'' is to big and 1'' is a little to small but my little ball peen hammer conviced it to cooperate with my 1'' deep well.

I"m New here to the forum but I sure don't see where Buddy did anything wrong. Buddy's been a big help to me as I learn about these 6.5's and regard him as an asset to this forum.

What you say has merit GM Guy no salt and a dry climate does miracles for finding a solid body. My little 95 spent 14&1/2 yr.s working for the state of Virginia and the body is as solid as a rock, although the clear coat is gone on the top of the truck though.

I guess it won't help I just pulled the atlas out and took a gander at where you're located and that's a pretty good piece over to Utah for you to travel unless you're feeling frisky and want to take a road trip.
Mark
Tanman I don't know if this will help but here's a site my friend gave me to some classifieds for car's trucks and other thing's it's in Utah. www.ksl.com top right you'll see where it says classified's, there's some diesel's in there and some big blocks on page 5 , 29 & page 30.

I thought about checking at Napa but their so darned high priced on some thing's. For instance my battery to the starter cable was half burnt through Napa had to order one for me $33 for a real piece of crap made in Mexico.I was in Autozone and they had a 2o cable made in the state's for $12, If...
I'll try it again tomorrow and put a little more light on the subject. When your doing the extension hose mod on the OPS do you take off the elbow that the OPS is attached to?
Mark
Autozone didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about, they couldn't find a lift pump or a OPS on their computor. Advance said they had 2 socket's and I remember the girl said the socket size wasn't on the package.
Mark
Thank's Ak I'm going to have to try it again I tried 1'' to small and 1 1/16'' was to big ,none of the part's place's I checked knew what size it was, thank's.
Mark
I ordered a OPS extension hose from PMD so it won't be a problem changing if it goes bad.
I'm going to go to the local Mack truck dealership and see if I can come up with the fitting's to do the FTB mod.

My lift pump isn't dead, what happened was the jumper I was using had a bad ground wire on it, both pair of my jumper's had bad ground wire's. The jumper's were new I bought them at a swap meet this past summer made in the USA, they just didn't tell you that they were defective.
