Where did you source it?
It's hard to find good parts.
Is it a rebuilt ?
Seriously, depending on where you got it, I would take it to be tested along with getting your injectors tested balanced.
Neither may have anything to do with your issue. But they would be ruled out.
It could be a...
I bought my split corrugated tubing from watekwire.com

To test the return line for luggage.
Run it to a container from the IP.
You can do that until the machine runs.
If you plug it back in and the machine no longer runs, then you probably have a plugged return.
I seriously doubt that or invented fuel fill cap has anything to do with what you...
I lost track of what happened to it.
I probably would have bought it back if I had somebody to do the work it needed.
We miss having a Suburban.
I don't remember if he was on the forums or just Facebook or what.
Back before I knew better, I bought a crashed 1999 K1500 6.5 diesel Suburban for the transmission. It would start and move, but was totaled

Not turning fast enough, will definitely cause a no start.
If you're running original battery cables, I'd give them a twice over. It'd be a good time...
If I remember right, we only removed the 4 easy glow plugs.
We didn't crank much at all. It was a brand new engine and injectors. We reused the IP. Bled everything as I described previously.
With the lift pump jumpered and the fuel shut down solenoid open - either jumpered or key on - there will be a minimal trickle out the IP return line.
If you have good fuel to the IP, that will increase when you crank the engine over.
It always sounded like it should help.
It always seemed like there should have been a way to utilize those ports to.move the coolant someplace to cool it down
