ok so what you guys are saying is that most of your mileage drop is the winter fuel blend and the fact that you idle more .my mileage is checked from gas station to gas station oops(diesel) on interstate 40 between ft smith ark and ok city.best ever was summer no mods 17.3 and I was empty and...
do you get better fuel mileage in the winter or the summer (HAND CALCULATED)and what is the reason for this .I noticed that my truck does better in the winter 17.3 vs summer 16.5...avg...cooler air maybe .I definitely have more power in the winter .
what would be better the conversion or just simply going to a bigger tire size to get your rpms to 2000 at 74 mph (the speed that I drive on interstate 40)currently I am using stock tires and am doing 2350 at 74 mph and which one would get the better mpg???
hello everyone was just wondering if you can change a 2005 lly 5 speed allison into a 6 speed?is it cost efficient ?does it gain more mpg?will ir take more hp and torque!!!LOL Just had to ask.any info would be greatly appreciated.thank you.

you bet max attitude is right I put one on my 05 lly and it helped a lot on turbo lag .got mine from gmpartsdirect.com .for around 83.34 I used the fernco coupler and some blue gasket sealer for a little more piece of mind (I tend to go over board )definitely more turbo whine I like that!!
good mod you are going to do!!I have a 05 lly and put a lbz mouthpiece and love the extra turbo whine .. and it helps to keep engine temps down plus added performance of about 50 hp tune ,yet dont expect too much and this will help save your engine .pvc rerout ,ditch the cat and replace the...
wow I wished that I would get 20 plus mpg.I am running ppe level 2 .best I get is 17.and I stay off the pedal.have to use cruise control.lol do you figure your mileage or trust your computer??I have found my computer to be off.and it seems like 2500 get a lot better mileage than 3500..I really...
my gas guage does not read gull when it is full and my oil pressure goes to almost 0 when idling and only 32 when at 3200 rpm .I will check diesel haulings link to see......
