Next ones in. Gotta say, this one could be new, it looks so good.
I put a couple layers of aluminum turkey roaster pan over the heat shield to try to reflect the heat away.
I tried. Mains, rods, pump, and turbo. Gotta be the ones that require pulling the engine.
Maybe I can connect a bicycle pump to the oil pan and pump as I drive? I bet a vacuum pump hooked up at the latest cam bearings would pull the oil through. Maybe I'll put a manual fuel pump in and pump...
Turbo off. Lines off. I have 3 15mm flare wrenches. I cut two 12 point box wrench open, and one 6 point. One of the 12 points I cut into a short. Between the three I can get the pump fittings off.
I'm just really, really sick of reworking this engine, knowing the cam bearings are whipped.
I'm down to the pump and lines. Nice cut on both index finger on the aluminum backing on the runner gaskets. Hoping I can leave the turbo alone. Not likely.
I have an old school and a new style cruise add on in the boxes. I've just never put them in as I'd like my truck to work right before I do it...
Oh well, poor me:-$
I'm leaning towards a worn head unit and a bad solenoid. My luck is like that. They say the pumps are tested, but they use a thinner fuel to simulate a hot start. I see their point, but it must not be fool proof. A new head unit is over $700 alone.
